As the Director of Diversity and Inclusion, you will be responsible for supporting the value of Inclusion and the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion OKRs of the organization while achieving the DEI strategy. This role will allow you to refresh the DEI strategy with an opportunity for incredible exposure to a broad group of leaders throughout the enterprise and the opportunity to save lives or assist those who save lives every day. We are looking for someone who has an outstanding record of accomplishment as a DEI Director or VP at a previous organization. The candidate for this position should have consulting or healthcare experience as well as experience working in a matrix environment for a larger, more complex organization. In addition, the candidate should have experience working competently with the talent strategy continuum, including learning and development, talent acquisition, recruitment, and retention.

The ideal candidate is someone who:

- Can properly address concerns and complaints.

- Can manage a team of DEI Regional Managers.

- Can create, implement, and evaluate DEI strategies in depth.

The candidate in this role will be primarily based in Cleveland, however there will be the opportunity to travel to other Northeast Ohio locations. Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Consultant to TA to help set D & I strategy for defined leadership roles.
  • Partner with executive search firms for defined leadership roles and any search activities to align with D & I strategy.
  • Partner with Talent Management to review diversity of candidates for critical leadership roles
  • Ensures that talent review has D&I components in presentation and candidate selection to include defining a diverse candidate slate and selection process.
  • Design D & I checks for internal solicitation to fill leadership roles from talent review data.
  • Consultant to the succession planning process to ensure the most inclusive process for diverse talent development and mobility is in place.
  • Partners with GLLI career coaches to ensure D&I efforts are adequately represented in executive development plans.
  • In partnership with GLLI review APR programs and communications to create/modify content as necessary to mitigate bias.
  • Partner with HRIS in review of leadership hiring data monitoring data for trends to identify opportunities and partner for interventions.
  • Provide insights to organization regarding hiring data analytics and utilize the data to guide D& I strategy for hiring of leadership roles.
  • Create focus touchpoints in the community in partnership with TA .
  • In partnership with marketing and communications crafts D&I communication strategy.
  • Seek out and participate collaboratively with both brand and recruitment opportunities within the community.
  • Advise on strategy related to partnerships with colleges, universities, professional organizations, and associations.
  • In partnership with TA direct the sourcing and pipelines for diverse leadership talent within local communities and leader positions to ensure Cleveland Clinic is meeting the CEO goals.
  • Serves as a change agent to provide solutions, resources and training on D & I topics to hiring leaders.
  • Provide day to day leadership and support to the D & I Talent Solutions Program Manager including oversite of the Employee Resource Groups (ERG).
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • Bachelor degree in related field required.
  • Master's preferred.

Complexity of Work:

  • High complexity of work, requiring ability to work with and influence a range of stakeholders including executives, subject matter experts, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to build influential relationships, cross-functional partnerships, and gain executive buy-in to effectively influence decisions.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with a proven track record of accomplishing work effectively in a multi-functional team
  • Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgement skills.
  • Demonstrate commitment to and experience in advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion and contributing to an inclusive working environment.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in the talent solutions field including a minimum of 3 years of management experience. Experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion related work preferred.
  • Offset: A Master's degree and 5 years of relevant experience in the talent solutions field.

Personal Protective Equipment:
