The goal of the Global Talent Acquisition (GTA) team within CEG is to enable growth at American Express by helping hiring leaders attract and hire the best colleagues to build a diverse and inclusive team, while providing a best-in-class colleague & candidate experience. The Diversity Talent Acquisition Director serves as a key member of GTA to define and implement the team's overall diversity recruitment strategy, including leading effective sourcing strategies, delivering candidate pipelines and developing action plans to address areas of opportunity. The ideal candidate for this role will have a blend of analytical, strategic and relationship-building skills to partner across the company to enhance our diversity recruitment processes. While primarily focused on the US presently, the role has potential to expand to include global strategy and initiatives.
How will you make an impact in this role?
- Strategy & Reporting - Own centralized strategy, processes and reporting to enable GTA and business unit partners to deliver on diversity recruitment goals. Drive thought leadership with peers and internal partners.
- Sourcing & Pipelining - Develop and implement innovative and effective diversity sourcing strategies for experienced talent. Build a pipeline of diverse talent that is aligned with key talent segments, using data, partnerships and internal and external insights.
- Brand Equity - Partner with Brand, Marketing and Communications partners to promote Diversity, Equity & Inclusion through our employer brand via marketing, job board placements and other activities.
- Goals & Training - Deliver consistent goals, trainings and diversity recruitment processes for GTA colleagues and company-wide hiring leaders to drive inclusive hiring processes.
- Team Leadership - Lead a team to deliver on their goals while coaching them to meet their own personal development goals.
- Global Strategy - Begin to expand strategy to include global reporting, knowledge sharing and initiatives outside of the US, as required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Proven ability to gain insights from data, conduct detailed analysis and garner external insights to determine strengths and opportunity areas and deliver clear action plans to address opportunities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to build strong presentations and articulate strategies.
- Strong collaboration skills with ability to define clear roles and responsibilities, work closely with internal and external partners and move forward a wide group on individuals towards a common goal.
- Ability to work independently and operate with great attention to detail.
- Capacity to balance multiple, time-sensitive tasks effectively, prioritize workloads and work well in a fast-paced environment, with a wide range of professionals.
- Prior experience in recruitment and/or diversity, equity and inclusion with a global organization.
- Solid understanding of talent sourcing techniques and knowledge of technology (Boolean search logic, LinkedIn Recruiter, Eightfold, and candidate relationship management systems).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
- Strong project management skills.
- 5-10 years developing strategies and delivering results for recruitment and/or diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.
- Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent work experience.
Salary Range: $130,000.00 to $205,000.00 annually + bonus + equity (if applicable) + benefits
