We are searching for a proven Engineering leader to join our rapidly expanding Product & Engineering team to help build our next generation architecture, create new tools for developers using our platform, and provide intelligent insights to our 100,000+ customers in 130+ countries. Python, Go, Kubernetes, Docker, and Ansible are some of the technologies that your teams will work with. We want smart people to help invent the future of web hosting.

The day to day
Responsibilities:

• Build a bench of high-potential engineering talent prepared to step into leadership roles as our hyper growth presents career advancing opportunities
• Coach and mentor managers to be inspiring leaders
• Build high functioning, highly engaged engineering teams that build great products
• Partner with Product to create an investment strategy and roadmap that incrementally delivers Customer Inspired value
• Ensure that we are taking a long-term view by building technically sound products that will scale
• Help our engineering teams connect their work to the company mission and strategy
• Foster cross-departmental collaboration with other departments to deliver revenue impacting products
• Create a culture of continuous improvement Where The Best Get Better

Your expertise and passion
Required skills:

• 8+ years experience inspiring and leading high performing engineering teams
• 5+ years experience as a software engineer
• Loves the fast paced nature of the startup culture, balanced with a focus on Built To Last
• Excited by the challenges presented by the success of a global company experiencing explosive growth
• Passionate about staying up to date on technology trends
• Experience building and running large scale applications in the public cloud environments
• Ability to lead strategic, cross-departmental initiatives in highly demanding environment
• Ability to communicate and collaborate between Engineering, Products and other business units
• Ability to balance results-driven and relationship-focused management styles through communication, empathy, and emotional intelligence
• Proven experience building and managing a world-class, global team
• Experienced with performance and compensation management best practices

Desired skills:

• Driven to deliver innovative products in a competitive market and motivated to win
• Experience establishing and growing a large, distributed Product & Engineering teams
• Experience with CDN, Networking, Automation, Kubernetes, Docker, Micro-Service architecture, and CI/CD
• Experience in GKS/EKS/AKS, LAMP, Nginx, Varnish, Go, Ruby, Python, PHP, GCP/AWS/Azure cloud platforms, Terraform, G-Cloud Build, Google pub/sub, SQS, RabbitMQ
