Omron also has recently launched VitalSight™ by OMRON. VitalSight™ by OMRON is a remote patient monitoring (RPM) program committed to supporting healthcare organizations in realizing remote care's potential for blood pressure management. VitalSight was developed in response to OMRON's nearly 50 years' experience in supplying clinically accurate home patient monitoring devices and personal heart-health technology. As a leader in at-home monitoring devices, it only makes sense that OMRON designed VitalSight to make participation in a clinically relevant remote patient monitoring program easier for both patients and providers-all in pursuit of Going for Zero mission.

Director, Engineering - 75% Remote

This position will lead the technical development of the digital health platform. This person directs and manages the software engineering function in releasing and maintaining software applications systems according to the digital health business needs. He/she will further develop policies and procedures that produce high-quality software products and services. The role includes day to day management of the VitalSight software business and supporting new business strategies related to Omron's B2B service offerings. Lastly, this role also includes international engagement with Omron Head Quarters (OHQ) and corporate strategy initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead existing software engineering team to develop, document and maintain healthcare web-based applications
  • Provide technical consultation as well as expertise to product managers to evaluate and prioritize roadmap initiatives
  • Participate in the development and implementation of premium services within the connect health ecosystem.
  • Work with digital health leadership to define and deliver the corporate connected health applications strategy
  • Develop a set of standard reporting metrics to measure value, efficiency, effectiveness of Omron web and mobile applications, VitalSight RPM application
  • Oversee security practices, working with the regulatory and legal to manage all compliance requirements, with the goal of obtaining and maintaining HIPAA compliance
  • Support OHQ innovation initiatives in the US with partner identification, contracting, study design, relationship management, study support for POC's


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technology degree
  • 5-10 years' Project management experience successfully managing software-related projects.
  • 5 years' experience working with AWS to build scalable consumer-facing mobile, web applications and RPM program.
  • Experience with iOS and Android based mobile apps.
  • Experience working with hospital systems.
  • Experience navigating HIPAA compliance.
  • Ability to architect solution from the MVP state to the scalable production applications.
