Accountabilities
- Lead and manage multiple engineering teams, providing strategic direction, mentorship, and performance management.
- Define technical roadmaps and prioritize delivery of large-scale, mission-critical projects aligned with business objectives.
- Implement modern development practices, agile methodologies, and DevOps processes to improve efficiency, quality, and scalability.
- Partner with product, business, and executive leaders to drive innovation, strategic planning, and continuous improvement.
- Build, scale, and cultivate an engineering culture focused on technical excellence, collaboration, and employee development.
- Represent the engineering organization in leadership forums and establish strong presence within the local technology ecosystem.
- Oversee hiring, resource planning, and budget management to support growth and operational needs.
- 12–15+ years of software engineering experience, with 5–7+ years in engineering leadership roles.
- Proven expertise in software architecture, coding, and building enterprise-grade software products.
- Deep understanding of agile software delivery, DevOps, and modern engineering practices.
- Experience managing large, distributed, or global engineering teams in high-growth or complex product environments.
- Strong ability to align engineering execution with business strategy and communicate effectively with technical and executive stakeholders.
- Demonstrated success in hiring, scaling teams, improving delivery speed, and fostering cultural change.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Preferred experience in establishing new engineering hubs, working for US-based startups, and leading teams in cloud-native, API-first, or microservices environments.
