Accountabilities:

  • Lead and oversee multiple engineering teams responsible for data platforms, analytics systems, and scalable SaaS solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical strategy.
  • Build, mentor, and retain high-performing engineering managers and senior technical talent while fostering an inclusive and collaborative engineering culture.
  • Define and communicate long-term architectural and platform strategies, partnering with executive leadership to translate business priorities into actionable engineering roadmaps.
  • Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement of development processes, agile methodologies, CI/CD practices, automated testing, and DevOps principles.
  • Collaborate closely with product, operations, and cross-functional stakeholders to prioritize initiatives, allocate resources effectively, and ensure successful delivery of projects.
  • Oversee large-scale distributed systems, data warehouse architectures, ETL/ELT pipelines, and real-time data processing solutions across cloud environments.
  • Promote strong ownership of data quality, governance, scalability, and fault tolerance while ensuring engineering teams proactively solve production challenges.
  • Manage engineering budgets, technical planning, and stakeholder communication while providing visibility into progress, risks, and outcomes.
  • Requirements:

    • 10+ years of software development experience within SaaS environments, including leadership of multiple engineering teams and large-scale technical initiatives.
    • Strong expertise in AWS data services, SQL at scale, data warehouse design, ETL/ELT pipelines, and modern data lake architectures.
    • Experience working with streaming or near-real-time data technologies such as Kafka, Kinesis, or similar platforms.
    • Proven ability to lead engineering organizations in fast-paced, high-growth industries while delivering scalable, fault-tolerant applications.
    • Strong understanding of agile development methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban, along with CI/CD and DevOps best practices.
    • Experience leveraging AI tools and technologies to improve productivity, communication, analysis, and engineering workflows.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align technical initiatives to business outcomes.
    • Familiarity with distributed systems, analytics platforms, BI tools, and cloud-native infrastructure.
    • Preferred experience with Databricks, SQL Server, self-service analytics platforms, e-commerce technologies, and AI/LLM-powered data solutions.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred.
