Director, Engineering HelloSign

As Director of Engineering at HelloSign, you will lead the teams responsible for the development of the core eSign product. You’re able to balance business delivery with engineering quality, have strong business acumen, are data and metrics oriented, and can balance a portfolio of short term and long term investments.

As a recent acquisition, HelloSign has its own unique engineering culture, technology, and tools. Based on strong business cases, you will drive the engineering team to adopt and improve on the best from both the HelloSign and Dropbox engineering organizations.

• You will lead the team in balancing urgency vs. the incredibly high quality bar expected by both our customers and the broader Dropbox organization, through clear and repeatable engineering processes
• You will partner closely with HelloSign leadership across all functions, including GTM and Support
• You will work closely with the VP of Engineering and other engineering leaders to set technical strategy and direction
• You will work closely with both the HelloSign Platform and Dropbox Platform teams, understanding their challenges and collaborating on their planning and strategy
• You will create a culture of strong technical ownership, resulting in highly reliable products and services at scale
• You'll foster a healthy and collaborative culture that embodies Dropbox's values and continue to develop Dropbox as one of the best places to work

• 15+ years of engineering experience in a medium or larger software company 
• Demonstrated ability to hire and grow the team
• Strong technical craft mastery and engineering discipline
• Deep organization capabilities, especially in regards to influence, collaboration and communication

For candidates hired in Colorado, the expected salary/On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for the role is $202,000 - $237,600 - $273,200.

This salary/OTE range represents the low, middle, and high end of the salary or OTE (Sales roles) range for this position, and is subject to change. To determine a Dropboxer’s starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity. This position may be considered a promotional opportunity. 

Salary/OTE is just one component of Dropbox’s total rewards package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
