What you'll do:
  • Raise the bar, we want to look back every single year and be proud of the amazing progress and enhancements that we did. We expect that you will identify opportunities of enhancements from a technical and process standpoint and work with the team to implement them.
  • Manage different teams of high-performance engineers, hire and coach them to make them better every single day, we expect that you will lead by example.
  • Lead the engineering support team and the solution engineering team, responsible for maintaining the production environment and implementing custom features for strategic clients.
  • Empower the engineering managers to reach their full potential, coaching them on how to be in full control of deliverables, processes and communication channels.
  • Participate in pair-programming sessions with the managers and engineers in the support and solution engineering teams.
  • Be a technical reference to the managers and engineers in the support and solution engineering teams, by leading and coaching them on how to approach the day by day activities, as well as career/personal growth, anxieties, strengths and weaknesses.
  • Manage day-by-day activities of the managers, helping them be successful every day, as well as execute performance review sessions with the team members, guiding them every other week.
  • Conceive, design and implement action plans to solve tickets seasonal peaks, high risk/impact tickets and other unexpected challenges.
  • Be a master in communication to be able to collaborate with multiple teams, clients, managers, directors and other leaders objectively and clearly.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to engage in multiple threads at the same time, not allowing anything to fall through the cracks.
  • Create clear and objective presentations about team achievements and goals for C-level managers.

What you'll bring:
  • 3+ years of experience managing medium to large (15+) software development teams
  • 5+ years of experience in senior engineering roles (architect, tech lead, etc.)
  • 5+ years of experience in SQL (writing complex queries, troubleshooting, etc.)
  • Strong architecture experience in SaaS products
  • Strong and demonstrated troubleshooting/debugging skills
  • Extremely detail oriented and high commitment to get things done on time and with high quality
  • Customer facing experience
  • Experience with SCRUM
  • Previous hands-on experience with performance analysis from backend and database standpoint
  • Previous hands-on experience with high complex issues troubleshooting and resolving

Nice to have:
  • Experience with PHP is a plus
  • Experience managing production support teams is a plus
  • Previous hands-on experience with web development, mobile development is a plus

ServiceTitan is committed to fair and equitable compensation for all of our employees. We thoughtfully consider a wide range of factors when determining individual compensation. The expected salary range for this role is between $161,000 - $231,000. Actual compensation for an individual may vary depending on skills, performance over time, qualifications, experience, and location. In addition to the base salary, the total compensation package also includes an annual bonus, equity and a holistic suite of benefits.
