This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Director of Engineering - REMOTE. In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of driving the engineering vision for Views. This position empowers teams to automate manual processes, ensuring a seamless user experience for millions. By overseeing the architecture of highly scalable front-end experiences, you will significantly impact the product strategy and drive the development of innovative solutions. Your leadership will facilitate cross-team collaboration and AI adoption, cultivating a team culture focused on high operational standards and continuous improvement.

Accountabilities

  • Own the vision and goals for the Views pillar, collaborating with product counterparts.
  • Lead engineering teams through Engineering Managers, ensuring delivery and technical quality.
  • Drive the architecture of high-performance front-end experiences.
  • Set and maintain high quality standards across the engineering pillar.
  • Define metrics for engineering and business outcomes, ensuring availability and customer satisfaction.
  • Initiate and manage cross-team technical efforts, resolving architectural conflicts.
  • Communicate technical complexities to various stakeholders effectively.
  • Champion AI-first design practices and accountability for AI productivity.
  • Lead strategic hiring planning and foster an inclusive team culture.
  • Build a learning organization focused on continuous improvement and mentoring.
  • Requirements

  • 11+ years in software engineering and system architecture.
  • 5+ years in engineering leadership with experience managing large teams.
  • Proven track record in scaling high-traffic enterprise SaaS products.
  • Deep understanding of front-end development; experience with frameworks like React.
  • 4+ years in microservice or SOA-based web applications.
  • Experience with AWS infrastructure and database architectures.
  • Proficient in building secure and performant applications.
  • Strong technical program leadership skills in ambiguous situations.
  • Solid foundation in computer science principles and Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills across various audiences.
  • Experience coaching in ambiguous environments.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in related fields or equivalent experience.
