Director Enterprise Strategy
Job Description
The Director of Enterprise Strategy role will work closely with senior leadership to develop and execute GuideWell's enterprise strategy, including multi-year strategic plans and roadmaps. The incumbent will be responsible for developing partnerships across the organization leveraging and promoting best in class strategies that will implement the strategic change required to propel the enterprise forward. The role will support the complex and coordinated efforts required to execute against GuideWell's short and long-term strategic aspirations, ensuring business unit connectivity is present across all enterprise efforts. Additionally, this role will coordinate the governance of corporate strategic priorities, providing creative insights to help identify, clarify, and resolve complex issues critical to GuideWell's success.
Job duties include but are not limited to: • Leads, supports, and facilitates development of key GuideWell strategies (Enterprise, Segment) with key business partners, deep diving into strategic issues with executive leadership• Enables and provides data/intelligence, frameworks, key questions and meeting facilitation with key executives to drive definition and alignment around the "how and execution" for key strategies, including Enterprise Strategy, Business Unit Strategies, strategic projects (as needed) and scenario development and strategy mapping of current and proposed strategies to the scenarios• Acts as a single point of accountability for assigned segment workflows, including leading key workflows within a matrixed environment and driving key business partner alignment• Aids in the leadership and development of key strategic frameworks, including market and competitive intelligence perspectives, to facilitate the alignment surrounding the how and execution focus of key organizational strategies• Defines and enables strategic intelligence needs across enterprise, business units and key functional areas to support achievement of business objectives. Acting as a advisor to various groups across the Enterprise supporting strategic intelligence analysis and facilitating insight generation.• Acts as a thought leader on key strategy work efforts by leading analysis of new potential markets or segments, the growth potential associated with each and potential conflicts within the Enterprise• Coaches, provides consultation and supports team members on key strategy related workflows to aid in the execution of our key strategic postures• Develops high quality deliverables (accurate, visually appealing, logically structured, and formatted) with consultant like quality, including landscape assessments, strategy presentations, and business cases with supporting data• Constantly monitors the external operating environment, including competitors and industry trends (regulatory and political), leveraging those insights to understand market opportunities or potential dyssynergies for the GuideWell family of companies
Job Requirements: • Related Bachelor's degree required or additional equivalent work experience• 6+ years' related work experience• Progressive leadership experience in the health care industry (insurance, payor, clinical) or health care strategy consulting / strategic planning, showcasing progressive advancement and a record of achievement• Understanding of the health care and managed care industries, including key factors that influence performance• Broad business experience and knowledge that spans multiple business functions, focused on the health care industry• Experience working in a de-centralized and matrix reporting focused operating model• Strong competencies in oral and written communications, business acumen, executive presence, and organizational savvy• Advanced knowledge of and experience in developing strategies and key scenario planning surrounding execution• Strong problem-solving skills• Effective interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong and effective business relationships• Creative with a strong ability to think 'outside the box', effectively translating environmental trends to strategic opportunities• Ability to act in a consultative and influencer role across all areas of the enterprise, including with executive leadership
Preferred: • Advanced degree, such as MBA, MPA, MPH, or MHA• Bilingual - English/ Spanish, Fluent in Spanish (reading, writing, verbal)• Experience in investment banking, private equity, or equity research with specific health care / payor related coverage• Significant knowledge and experience associated with the government markets segment, including Medicare, Medicaid, Individual Under 65, or the Puerto Rican health care market including key areas such as Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and Clinical Asset Operations (on-island)
General Physical Demands
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required only occasionally.

Must be able to travel to multiple locations for work (i.e. travel to attend meetings, events, conferences). Occasionally
