The FinOps Organization is responsible for the calculation, analysis, and forecast of Equifax's Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions, as part of the broader corporate Environment, Social, Governance (ESG) initiatives.
Our ESG initiatives have significant visibility to our SLT, Board of Directors, Investors, and Customers.
The Director, ESG Finance will report directly to the VP, ESG Finance.
What You Will Do
- Owns the GHG forecast model for scopes 1-3 and the global monthly close process.
- Lead and organize the monthly cross-functional Environmental Management Committee
- Serve as the Product Owner of Salesforce Net Zero Cloud. Net Zero Cloud serves as the system of record for all of Equifax/s GHG accounting records
- Maintain and enhance GHG reporting controls, including keeping the GHG Accounting Manual up-to-date.
- Serve as the expert on the pending SEC Rules on Climate Disclosure.
- Manage the ongoing relationship with Internal Audit.
- Be an internal source of expertise on GHG emission calculations.
- Represent the team internally and deliver training/education, if needed.
- Support efforts with various third-parties, such as the Science-Based Target Initiative (SBTi) and the Climate Disclosure Project (CDP).
- Support Equifax annual reporting initiatives, such as annual GHG updates to Equifax website and our annual Proxy disclosures.
- Liaison with External Affairs, Accounting, Finance, Procurement, Real Estate, and Technology, as needed
- Manage an entry-level employee, who assists in the duties above
What Experience You Need
- Must have Accounting and Finance experience. Minimum 5 years.
- Experience with GHG reporting a strong plus, but not required.
- Desire to learn and be a part of Equifax's ESG initiatives
- High intellectual curiosity
- Previous track record of high performance
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and shifting priorities
