In your Director Executive Communications role, you'll help us deliver better care for billions of people around the world.

You will be responsible for delivering strategic executive communication support to Kimberly Clarks senior executives and leading the development of internal communication strategies that help them connect with, engage, and inform their organizations as well as the broader organization. This could include the development of executive communication strategies, creating plans and communications around our highest enterprise priorities, providing strategic partnership on organizational announcements, drafting and coordinating functional and global employee announcements, town halls and high-profile events as well as serving as a strategic advisor to help our leaders effectively communicate with key stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads development of functional communication strategy in alignment to overall enterprise-wide communication strategy
  • Leads proactive and reactive global communication strategies for business initiatives
  • Creates annual communication strategy and calendar for key executives
  • Leads development of messaging frameworks, communications templates and tools to drive alignment with various functional leaders
  • Leads measurement approaches to gather feedback and drive continuous improvement
  • Oversees strategic executive visibility programs, enabling two-way dialogue between leader, the enterprise and their organization through town halls, vehicles, etc.
  • Develops executive-level leadership narratives and thought leadership to be leveraged internally and externally
  • Identifies, executes and tracks employee communication opportunities
  • Partners with other communicators and business leaders to ensure alignment
  • Partners with business partners (e.g., IT, HR, Legal) to streamline communications, training and activities
  • Partners with C-suite level leadership on an ongoing basis and acts as leadership's trusted communication advisor
  • Builds strong relationships with teams across organization to support overall goals and business initiatives
  • Oversees Associate Director of Executive Communications; ensure high-performance and actionable development plans reflecting ongoing feedback and career path discussions

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required, Masters degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience working with a large, global organization in corporate communications, with an emphasis on internal communications and C-level executive communications
  • 10+ years of experience in strategic content development (e.g., writing long- and short-term, message frameworks/mapping, speech writing, etc.)
  • Experience leading development and execution of strategic meetings, including town halls and other events for large, global audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to work with C-level executives and other senior leaders on strategic communications, including executive communications
  • Excel at storytelling and have the ability to craft a narrative that ties everything together and leveraging visual communications to develop stand-out content
  • Experience in managing teams, including developing high-performing talent
