Director, Finance

This Director of Finance role serves as the key partner for client financial performance.  Primary responsibilities include reporting internally and externally, explaining client financial performance, and supporting client relationship management. 

Internal stakeholders include senior leaders across Strive’s executive, finance, and operations teams.  External stakeholders include payor and provider partners.

This role provides an opportunity to drive key finance activities, directly support customers and senior leaders, and gain finance experience in scaling a high-growth business as the Finance team enables Strive's transformation of care for kidney patients.

Essential Functions

• Serve as the Finance business partner and primary point of contact for external partners and Strive leaders including the CEO, CFO, President/COO, SVP of Operations, and General Managers.  Partner successfully in a matrixed environment.
• Lead revenue and operating expense reporting and analysis for all Population Health, CKCC, and MSO markets.  Drive operating leverage and consistency in client success reporting. 
• Communicate financial results and variance drivers in a clear, accurate, and compelling way to facilitate understanding and action planning.
• Establish appropriate financial reporting to support day-to-day management of financials; assist with navigating reporting tools and interpreting analyses to drive business results. 
• Enable more insightful decision-making and inform new business proposals. 
• Develop leading indicators and user-friendly dashboards to inform decision-making.
• Actively partner with FP&A, Actuary, Operations, and Data teams to support decision-making, provide visibility, and drive results.
• Lead preparation for financial reviews with key partners and support client relationship management with timely and accurate responses to partner requests.
• Support the implementation of new tools and technology; leverage them to develop infrastructure and processes to improve how we do things. 
• Think critically and remain curious.  Take an active role in strategy sessions.   

Minimum Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Finance, Business, or similarly highly analytical field
• 5+ years of relevant FP&A, financial analysis, modeling, or finance business partner experience – preferably supporting senior business leaders
• 3+ years of managing a team of direct reports
• Internet Connectivity - Min Speeds: 3.8Mbps/3.0Mbps (up/down): Latency <60 ms

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduate degree
• Prior experience supporting customers  
• Prior experience using reporting tools
• Value-based care experience and/or kidney care experience
• Project management or process improvement experience
• Hyperion Essbase and Oracle NetSuite experience
• Progressive financial work experience
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office product suite, and other technology tools
• Ability to work in a growth environment and successfully adapt to change

Annual Salary Range: $126,700.00-$158,400.00
