Director, Finance - Nuveen Green Capital

The Director, Corporate Finance is responsible for leading select finance, budgeting, reporting, forecasting, cash management and strategic analysis processes that play a key role in ensuring the growth and profitability of NGC's platform. The Director works closely with and provides direct analytical and project management support to the VP, Corporate Finance. This role is at the intersection of commercial real estate, corporate finance, and ESG investing.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Work with Vice President to oversee NGC's financial objectives through extensive analysis, modeling, forecasting and reporting.
• Perform financial modeling and forecasting to support company strategic decision making, including modeling new products, financial instruments, securitizations, funds, loan structures, asset acquisitions and working capital.
• Perform asset valuations; create custom KPIs and metrics; maintain, version and document existing models; contribute to the analysis of pricing and fair market value.
• Manage and organize large data sets using Excel (and Access, SQL, python or other tools as desired).
• Assist in maintaining and establishing policies and procedures, including risk control and compliance.
• Manage projects for the team and across multiple departments.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders across the broader organization (finance, risk, compliance, treasury, accounting policy, product).
• Engage closely and independently with external and internal partners to lead transitions and manage change.

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years in corporate finance, accounting, or related field

Desired Qualifications:

• 5+ years in corporate finance, accounting, or related field
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Financial modelling expertise
• Capital markets or real estate finance experience
• Experience working with large datasets
• Experience with SQL and/or Python
• Comprehensive understanding of a company's P&L, concepts of leverage, working capital, debt, equity, investment, etc.
• Comprehensive understanding of key finance concepts, e.g. time value of money, basic pricing and valuation of financial instruments, amortization, effective interest rate, returns calculations
• Knowledge and understanding of accounting concepts, including asset sale and acquisition

Base Pay Range: $97,500/yr. - $162,500/yr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
