About the Role:
We are looking for a Director of Financial Institution Sales. The Director will be responsible for building the banking and credit union funding channel in their territory / selling Upgradeās credit products including personal unsecured loans, card receivables, indirect auto, home improvement and potentially other consumer credit products to CLO/CFO/CEOs at depositories. This position reports to the VP, Head of Financial Institutions Group.
The role can be remote or hybrid with our San Francisco HQ.
What Youāll Do:Ā
- Present Upgradeās unsecured consumer loans and any subsequent products that Upgrade develops to banks and credit unions.
- Represent upgrade at regional conferences including speaking engagements to generate bank/credit union partnership leads
- Manage pipeline from lead generation to closingĀ
- Work closely with onboarding and execution team to move partnership relationship forward, track success strategies in CRM
What We Look For:
- 7+ years of experience in bank sales at a software, financial technology, or asset management firm, whole loan sales/trading
- Extensive contact list of bank clients and credit unions in the region
- Advanced knowledge of consumer credit products and general investing marketsāÆ
- Strong understanding of how banks/credit unions operate and their decision-making framework:āÆrisk returns, capital requirements, loss provisions, regulatory considerations, etc.
- Proven measurable success in growing sales pipeline
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Good judgment and excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and recognize and focus on critical issues
- Salesforce specific CRM experience a plusĀ
