The Role

AXS is looking for a hands-on, pro-active, and motivated Director, Financial Operations.  The role requires a strong accounting background and is responsible for the creation, configuration, implementation of our financial platforms and revenue control processes for our ticket sales operations.  This encompasses the application of the company’s financial and statistical transactions ticketing sales transactions to client contracted terms all while supporting our business practices.  The position reports to the Vice President of Financial Operations and manages a team of analysts who perform the activities to ensure accurate financial settlement and invoicing to our ticketing clients.

What You'll Do:

  • Implement, maintain, and enhance systems used to manage ticket sales and the settlement of ticket proceeds to our clients as well as our ticketing-related billing processes
  • Manage a team of financial analysts who perform settlement audit and billing calculations
  • Collaborate in the implementation of new contracts ensuring the completeness and accuracy of terms programmed in our ticket sales platforms
  • Perform periodic review of client contracts regarding rate changes, volume incentives and timely billing of all revenue triggering actions
  • Ensure timely and accurate billings and/or remittances to clients under each contract
  • Configure and update general ledger coding in systems for all transactions recorded by the accounting staff
  • Partner with accounting to ensure that all revenue is recognized in the correct period, applicable accruals are recorded, and all liabilities relating to ticket sales are accurately reflected on the company’s books
  • Coordination with accounting, legal, business development and account management to ensure 100% of all financial-impacting contractual responsibilities are performed and recorded
  • Support the financial planning and analysis team with their needs for historical client financial performance and metrics.

What We Hope You'll Bring:

  • 3+ years management of revenue-focused accounting and/or accounting systems experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • Strong understanding of GAAP
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with Salesforce Billing/Revenue Cloud and/or Media Cloud a plus
  • Strong analytical, planning and communication skills
