POSITION SUMMARY
HASI is seeking a Director to join our team in Annapolis, MD. This role will focus on our Financial Planning and Analysis (FPA) function. This is a highly visible role to senior leadership and will provide an opportunity to contribute to and influence discussion regarding key strategic decisions of the organization. The individual will collaborate with other functions to develop our financial forecasts that are used in our day to day as well as longer term strategic decision making. This position will report to our SVP - Chief Accounting Officer & Treasurer.
Responsibilities
- Presenting to our senior leadership team on the periodic financial forecast.
- Assisting senior leadership in our periodic business planning process and other forecasting initiatives.
- Developing our periodic financial forecast model based on information obtained from other functions in the organization such as the investment team, portfolio management team, corporate finance team and accounting team.
- Assisting other team members in the investment and corporate finance teams in performing scenario analysis to assist in decision making.
- Collaborating with our investor relations team for ad-hoc analysis in support of investor and sell-side analyst communications.
- Contributing to the enhancement of our existing forecasting processes, including the appropriate architecture of information systems utilized in those processes.
Education and Prior Work Experience
- 10+ years experience in corporate finance related roles, including prior experience with FPA responsibilities
- Financial asset modeling including time value of money concepts
- Demonstrated experience with excel models
- Understanding of accounting concepts
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
- CFA charter holder preferred
