Director, Financial Services Industry Vertical Marketing (Remote)
Job Description
Our Director, Financial Services Industry Vertical Marketing will lead assigned vertical industry go-to-market strategy and campaign teams focused on developing relationships, establishing reputation and creating pipeline while directing overall go-to-market strategy.
Subject Matter Expertise/Thought leadership
- Is the key Marketing Leader and Subject Matter Expert for Financial Services vertical industry go-to-market strategy and campaigns.
- Works cross-functionally with marketing, sales, product development, portfolio, and other functions to support business initiatives and industry positioning.
- Leads development of industry thought leadership and account based marketing strategy for the vertical accounts.
- Leads account based marketing engagements internally in coordination with Sales.
- Manage all thought leadership (e.g., white papers, roundtables, webinar content, etc.) in tandem with company and/or industry thought leaders, to generate leads.
- Directs team for activities that support on-going customer contact, customer councils and customer user groups as well as lead reporting resulting from demand generation initiatives. Responsible for communicating that information back to headquarters to adjust marketing strategies, programs and tools in support of global initiatives.
Brand
- Aligns tobrand guidelines, ensuring marketing communications meet company brand and legal requirements.
- Leads brainstorming and creative concept meetings; collaborate with content team to translate strategies outlined in creative briefs into engaging concepts and copy for various business units and clients; generate creative concepts that support marketing strategies and integrated campaigns.
- Executive support driving brand voice across various channels (paid, earned, owned, social).
Demand Creation
- Develops demand generation strategy with strong nurturing strategies and content plan. Proven ability to create total media engagement strategy including paid, earned, owned and social media.
- Strong understanding and experience in industry association and tradeshow/event with responsibility to drive participation with key Stakeholders including Sales, Marketing, Sales Operations and Portfolio Development and Management teams.
- Managesthe financial aspects of marketing initiatives, such as staying within campaign budgets, expenditures, and return-on-investment.
- Reviewsperformance metrics to identify successes and areas for improvement. Makes suggestions for improving marketing conversion based on testing and observed performance.
- Develops KPIs for each demand generation campaign, and post-campaign results to targets.
- Collaborates with sales operations, field marketing, and channel marketing to provide visibility to marketing campaigns, processes, tools and reports.
- Manages campaign implementation in the marketing automation platform and customer relationship management (CRM) system.
- Collaborate closely with BDR team to develop pre- and post-lead strategy.
Go-To-Market
- Identifies gaps and new opportunities for market penetration in collaboration with Product Innovation and Strategy teams. Develop programs and execution of industry positioning and value propositions.
- Develop 360 degree market approach to bringing new solutions to market with targeted messaging to personas within the industry.
- Ensure all go-to-market and launch information is communicated in a timely and clear manner to all sales enablement teams.
- Track and report on Financial Services technology roadmaps and customer requirements.
- Responsible for understanding market trends, competitive landscape, customer needs and requirements in key environments to guide messaging and go-to-market deliverables.
- Knowledge of annual and mid-term business plans for the production business and understanding of market trends, in order to make recommendations relating to go-to-market strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Certifications)
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field required.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in the vertical market with responsibility of managing industry positioning and marketing, and customer acquisition and retention.
- Minimum of 5 years in product management, go-to-market/field management, managing both people and budget is required.
- Deep subject matter expertise in the Financial Services Industry (Financial Services, Banking, Insurance, and/or FinTech) including regulatory/compliance requirements, buyer preferences, and proven success in delivering new business.
- Account-based marketing methodology and tools
- Go-to-market methodology (i.e., Pragmatic)
- Strategic thinker and planner; client-facing skills and experience with sales motions
- Digital Marketing Experience including tools, processes, outcomes, experience optimization, etc.
- Client-facing, relationships and industry-facing skills and understanding of the Financial Services industry.

Additional Pay Details:
Compensation range is $125,000 - $173,000.
Position is bonus eligible: STI is 30%
