ABOUT THE ROLE

The Demand Forecasting & Insights team at Peloton combines rigorous analysis with a strategic mindset to (i) forecast consumer demand for Peloton’s products, (ii) communicate the forecast and demand trends to stakeholders across the business and (iii) facilitate strategic decision-making to help efficiently grow demand. The leader of the team reports to Peloton’s Chief Financial Officer and members of the team have regular opportunities to interact with leaders across the C-suite. Our team is full of highly analytical individuals who know how to extract meaning from data and distill that into a clear and actionable narrative for senior leadership. You will lead a team of analysts responsible for forecasting sales across Peloton’s portfolio (Bike, Tread, Row, Guide, and Accessories), diagnosing variance vs. plan, and running ad hoc analyses to inform GTM investment decisions. Success in this role requires a continuous-improvement mindset, extremely high standards for accuracy, and outstanding communication / “story-telling” abilities. You are someone who thrives on making an impact through your own contributions and those of the team you lead. You will drive business decisions through data-driven recommendations and strong collaboration with stakeholders across the organization (Marketing, FP&A, Supply Chain and Product). This role reports to Peloton’s VP of Forecasting and Insights.

YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON

  • Manage a team that is responsible for owning the demand forecast for Bike, Tread, Row, Guide, and Accessories
  • Apply a continuous improvement approach to forecast methodology and accuracy
  • Command a deep understanding of the factors influencing demand for Peloton’s products
  • Regularly present your forecast updates and demand insights to company leadership (with as much focus on the “why” as the “what”)
  • Collaborate with and serve as a thought-partner to a variety of partner teams including Marketing, FP&A, Supply Chain and Product
  • Oversee ad hoc analyses to support decisions (e.g., media investment, promotions, pricing, financing and other investments to drive consumer demand)
  • Grow and develop a team of high performing analysts

YOU BRING TO PELOTON

  • 8+ years of experience. You’ve been a top manager and performer in a highly analytical function with lots of executive interaction (such as consulting, investment banking, strategic finance, FP&A and/or other highly analytical area in a fast-growing company)
  • 4+ years of experience managing, recruiting and training teams of high-performing analysts
  • Deep experience building forecast models that appropriately balance detail and usability to ensure accuracy and facilitate decision making
  • A strategic thinker who also rolls up your sleeves and dives into the details
  • An innovative, highly organized approach to answering hard questions
  • Communication style that combines the narrative with the supporting details in a manner tailored for your audience
  • Relationship-building skills that enable effective collaboration with colleagues across the company

Base Salary: $218,600.00  to $284,200.00

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based at our New York City headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and if the location for the job changes.
