Director - FP&A and Operations Finance
Job Description
What are we looking for?
- 7+ years in Finance, including 2+ years in a people leadership role leading multiple teams.
- FP&A experience, spanning business support, performance management, and consolidation / strategy.
- Strong desire to learn, grow, and move quickly in a nimble, 'business-within-a-business' environment - leverage the broader resources of Mars to enable scale and growth of MRG.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred.
- Retail, franchise or third-party partnerships, along with e-commerce and commercial experience is preferred. (Experience with international businesses, entities and currency is a benefit).
What would be your key responsibilities?
- Responsible for robust financial evaluation of major business decisions, including but not limited to pricing, OpEx, CAPEX, new store locations/leases, major IT/digital investments, and supply chain transformation work.
- Lead and create Management Reporting - create, manage and produce management reports to provide senior leadership, stores, and cross-functional partners with easy-to-understand summaries of financial results, insights, and recommendations (leading to improved understanding of performance and drivers, and improved results).
- Develop financial forecasts with value-added insight while identifying and driving action against risks and opportunities.
- Build and codify dynamic, detailed, and scalable financial and operational models driven by key consumer, financial and operational metrics.
- Lead automation initiatives to minimize systems headwinds and manual efforts, resulting in increased time to focus on strategic and operational value-add.
- Lead financial planning processes for Mars Retail Group, including IVCP and AEP - create timelines and project plans, influence business partners, and work directly with senior leadership to execute robust, bottom-up, and driver-based plans that drive improvements in YoY results.
