Director – General Assembly & Pre-Delivery

Your Role:

Full P& L responsibility for General Assembly and Pre-Delivery at the Hanford Mfg. site

• Develop the strategic plan and KPI’s for each area of responsibility
  • People, Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost
  • Define and achieve departmental Cost Goals congruent with Financial Business Plan including Direct and Indirect hourly manpower, Salary Manpower, OME development and performance including scrap, crib service, tooling budgets
• Develop training programs for all Manager and above employees
  • Clear tasks and roles
    • Ensure the roles and tasks given to workers are clear and understandable
• Define and build the General Assembly Organization Structure (SL, GL, TM, TL, MT)
• Leverage your strong training and mentorship skills to manage and develop teams while also driving process improvements and serving as a change manager where needed
• Develop Quality and robust processes to deliver FF products.
  • Implement Standardized methods and processes using visual management
  • Implement rapid identification of problems and practical problem solving
  • Stable processes / Products & Preventive quality management
  • Customer orientation (in house & external)
• Create a culture and drive Continuous Improvement to continuously eliminate waste
• Have opportunities to take on additional responsibilities and/or pursue advancement in our global organization.

Basic Qualifications:

• 15+ years of experience working in a fast paced, low volume Automotive Company in the Final Assembly / General Assembly area.
• Experience in Manufacturing Engineering with a focus on plant tooling buy off and implementation
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing with focus on production systems and processes.
• Experience managing teams of people in a production environment.
• Experience in new product development and launch activities.
• Ability to work with and develop production performance metrics (efficiency, quality, safety, throughput, costs).
• Strong analytic problem-solving skills.
• Able to work well under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines.
• Communicate clearly using excellent written and verbal skills.
• Strong organization skills with meticulous attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• BS or higher degree
• Experience in Startup companies, EV experience

Annual Salary Range:

($170K - $220K), plus benefits and incentive plans
