The Team

The Global Operations team provides regulatory and operational leadership in our regions. Kraken is a global company that combines a set of highly regulated products with highly innovative crypto specific products. This requires local leaders to interface with regulators ensure local compliance adapt products to local standards manage local entities and businesses and provide on-the-ground market leadership.

We are seeking a leader to coordinate global initiatives that influence our core regions. You will report to the VP & Global Managing Director and support strategic initiatives priority projects cross-geo initiatives and standardization across our regions.

The opportunity

• Lead cross-geo projects influencing multiple regions

• Lead priority global markets projects

• Maintain project tracking for all geo initiatives; this includes prioritization and resource deployment as well as cross-functional collaboration

• Manage Markets Team quarterly and annual planning as well as budgeting

• Provide strategic support for Global Managing Director  (including executive reporting updates proposals etc)

• Ad hoc strategy development for new proposals - from ideation to action planning

• Provide leadership in establishing and tracking OKRs

Skills You Should HODL

• 10+ years of experience in financial services and/or crypto

• Experience with financial services regulatory and compliance initiatives

• Strong familiarity with how crypto businesses operate - fiat and crypto custody exchange operations order book broker models staking OTC trading etc

• Strong understanding of blockchain and crypto concepts with the capability to explain highly technical concepts to less familiar parties

• Extensive experience in project management; achieving outcomes with excellent cross-functional communication

• Excellent organizational skills; experience in standardizing processes across multiple functions and geographies

• Strong financial analysis experience; able to analyze a potential strategy and consider quantitative cost/benefit

• Excellent communication skills; able to write persuasive and comprehensive memos slide decks and analyses

• Experience working autonomously but able to roll up your sleeves and achieve high velocity results

• Strong crypto ethos
