Who we are looking for
As part of the Global Athlete Brand Marketing team, this role will be critical in driving the vision and execution of our 365 brand plans for specific Icon and Defining Athletes. The ideal candidate is a seasoned marketer who can develop brand-defining ideas and identify new opportunities that can accelerate Nike's Athlete Offense. This candidate is a strategic problem solver who can lead, influence and collaborate across the organization to ensure Athlete plans can meet both brand & business objectives. This candidate is an effective collaborator who can build strong relationships with internal and external teams to take the partnership with your assigned athletes to the next level!
What you will work on
You will own, create and implement long-term & annual athlete brand plans that are built to deliver tangible athlete value and drive brand impact across Product, Storytelling & Experiences. You will also lead an end-to-end marketing integration process in service of your athletes and in support of the Brand & the Business. You will serve as an advocate across the organization to ensure the work we bring to life remain on-strategy and authentic to your assigned athletes.
Who you will work with
You will report directly into the Global Athlete Brand Marketing Senior Director. You will work alongside a team of other Athlete Brand leads & Seasonal Managers. You will also collaborate cross-functionally to integrate our Athletes into our most important product stories, brand initiatives and concepts. Teams that you will work closely with are:
- Men's, Women's Kid's Brand Marketing
- Brand Defining, Athletes & Purpose Teams
- Sports Marketing
- Consumer Direct Marketing
- Creative
- Product Merchandising
- Geo Brand Marketing
What you bring
- Bachelor's Degree or higher or combination of relevant education, experience and training.
- Minimum of 10+ years relevant marketing expertise.
- Previous experience working with Athletes and/or Entertainers.
- Proven track-record of leading end-to-end brand plans.
- Ability to thoughtfully juggle the details and the big picture.
- Experience working cross-functionally and in a highly matrixed organization.
- Ability to work in a constantly evolving environment, adapt quickly and adjust the work as needed.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including ability to present to Senior Leadership & External Partners.
- Deep knowledge of the Sport, Lifestyle and Entertainment industry.
- Strong understanding of the retail & product landscape as well as the Global consumer marketplace.
