Job Description
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 15 years of experience in management consulting, or strategy and operations
- 5 years of experience in management
- Experience leading global teams and producing deliverables.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience leading global teams and other managers effectively, and experience as a team builder/coach who builds culture and a winning team to deliver.
- Understanding of how to lead teams to activate programs at global scale, including defining OKRs with executive leadership, establishing clear process to operationalize and activate programs, and delivering against goals and proving impact on the business and customer success.
- Ability to effectively operate in a dynamic, constantly evolving, team environment and the ability to influence and communicate cross-functionally with all levels of management within Google.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills (e.g., communication, consulting, influencing skills).
About the job
The Mastery Go-to-Market Team develops and delivers product and skills training to Google's Global Business Organization as well as our external clients and agency partners. We use our knowledge of learning best practices and Google's business priorities to build effective learning experiences that power the business. We have four teams: Audience Activation, Global Curriculum, Technology and Strategy, and Operations.
As the Director of Global Business Organization Learning Strategy and Operations, you will lead a team across strategy and operations, data and analytics, and a Program Management Office (PMO). You will be responsible for defining our overall strategy with a key focus on leading our critical Learning Transformation Project, including change management and innovations in learning measurement. You and the team will partner closely with leadership across the Go-to-Market Organization, all Global Business Organization functions, People Operations, and cross-Google, establishing yourself as a key enterprise-wide thought leader.
The Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) team ensures Google's complex and ever-evolving Ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategy, and ensuring flawless execution and operations against the strategy. We have teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are analytical and strategic, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $254,000-$373,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Lead a team to deliver the strategy, planning, operational execution, and measurement for cross-Global Business Organization learning and skill building.
- Drive operational excellence to keep the global team running smoothly, taking a data-driven approach to find efficiencies in what we do while managing central resources with transparency and accountability and oversee change management.
- Measure the impact of our learning experiences for each of our key audiences and drive accountability with clear reporting and dashboards and support data-driven decisions across the team and stakeholders.
- Build the Learner Transformation story with clear dependencies and implement changes across the team.
