The role:

The Director of Global Creator + Influencer Marketing is a key leader in spearheading and sculpting the future of marketing within the company across all titles. Equal parts analytical, culturally savvy, self-starter and attuned to the future of creator and influencer marketing in entertainment, this role will need to influence, strategize and execute on holistically integrated creator and influencer campaigns for our titles. 

You will also lead and develop our NextMakers creator loyalty program and set the pace for program growth and development, as well align brand leadership to your future vision. We need a dreamer with a measured approach who is focused on helping educate and quantify success, who can plan for the near-term while building for the future. As the subject matter expert, you will be the champion and evangelist of creator + influencer marketing at 2K and help to build workflows with cross-functional teams that will help to best honor it.

This role is part of the larger 2K Global Marketing team, working directly under the Global Head of Digital Community Marketing who oversees social marketing, community, as well as creator and influencer marketing. This team is responsible for developing and executing creator and influencer strategies across all game titles and works heavily cross-functionally with our global and territory marketing, paid media, live services, brand partnerships and full digital community marketing team, to connect the creator ecosystem with our campaigns seamlessly.

We partner across the organization through continued influence and relationship-building to orchestrate a unified, effective, and scalable effort.  At any given moment we are the supporter, leader, approver, and/or responsible party with other internal and external teams. 2K has an ambitious roadmap for the future, and candidates should be driven by opportunity, passion for their work and collaborating with numerous functions within the organization as we head into the future. We’re building a future of marketing from a player-first POV and you will help us to prioritize and streamline integrating creators and influencers seamlessly into all of our campaigns.

Creator and Influencer Marketing Expertise 

Influencer and creator marketing is at the heart of our brand marketing strategies. You will be not only a subject matter expert, but help to sculpt integrated marketing plans that are driven by your proven knowledge and expertise. You will continue to proactively present forward-thinking strategies and work closely with teams to educate, brainstorm and collaborate on improved ways to build creator and influencer marketing into campaigns.

Forward-Thinking, Nimble Approach

The world of creator and influencer marketing is ever-evolving and this role will help to set the pace for future ways of working, to optimize our processes. Given the fluid nature of this work, you will possess the business acumen to steer the course through hardships, while working to lead and guide the team on effective ways forward. You will tackle any issues that come your way with grace and actively work to plan ahead to mitigate issues with cross-functional teams.

Entertainment / Sports / Gaming Talent Experience

We’re looking for someone with a deep understanding of creator and influencer marketing in the entertainment industry, or other adjacent creative or live spaces. You possess direct relationships with creators and influencers, agents, agencies and managers to land talent for future campaigns. You are able to lead a team of influencer and creator marketers and have expert knowledge of contracting, payout and legal posting parameters. You will be the authority in creator and influencer policy and can build strategic top-level plans, as well execute should it be needed.

Social Content Savvy

As most creator and influencer content lives on social media, we’re looking for you to have a deep knowledge and understanding of social marketing trends and parameters, as well as good taste in content and a knowledge for what “performs” on platform. Your social content expertise will set the tone for the types of content and briefs we output to creators and influencers, helping to direct campaigns in a meaningful, strategic way.

Global Marketing Mindset

This role is a part of our Global team and will help to sculpt our overall global plans, as well as work with territories to execute localized strategies from a global lens. You will have a global mindset, with the ability to prioritize and scale locally. You are on top of global creator and influencer trends and understand the nuances of language, regional platforms and evolving regional strategies. 

Ability to Manage + Grow Our NextMakers Program

Our NextMaker’s program fosters relationships with our most loyal and engaged gaming creators. We’ve incubated an active community of global creators who are passionate about our games titles and we’re looking to continue to build a more qualitative experience for them within the program. You will build the strategy to help qualitatively grow this community and integrate new NextMakers into the program for future titles. You will also work closely with the NextMaker team to internally influence and evangelize program uses internally, championing team involvement and consideration across all marketing teams.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead, mentor and develop the NextMakers and Global Creator + Influencer Marketing team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize and streamline creator and influencer marketing efforts, both for campaigns and ad-hoc projects.
  • Identify with marketing appropriate audience segments to target with via creators and influencers, sculpt campaigns from vetted data + insights.
  • Set KPI’s, benchmarks and objectives for all campaigns.
  • Manage and optimize campaign reporting and tracking global workflow.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including creators and representation.
  • Lead cross-functional communication to connect creator and influencer content seamlessly to the community and social teams.
  • Develop the next phase of the NextMakers creator loyalty program and optimize workflow and output.
  • Drive long-term planning and execution for forward-thinking creator and influencer strategies, both at the title and 2K brand level.
  • Oversee creative ideation and social content development needed to to launch best-in-class influencer and creator campaigns for our titles.
  • Serve as the go-to liaison for all things creator and influencer, across all titles which include sport and core games.

Who Will Make A Great Fit:

  • A proven track record (7-10+ years) in games, sports, media, entertainment or a creator-oriented industry.
  • Powerful presentation skills with the ability to create compelling presentations to support strategy and thinking, as well as present to both peers and reports, and company leadership.
  • Strong staff management skills and cross-functional leadership chops, with an understanding of a matrixed organization and how to navigate.
  • An analytical and insights minded approach to creativity and innovation.
  • Experience building creator and influencer program infrastructure and long / short term planning.
  • Skilled in crafting integrated marketing strategies across all channels and touchpoints, including social, community platforms, paid media and brand partners.
  • Proven ability to negotiate and execute Global paid influencer + creator campaigns.
  • Strong experience successfully delivering complex projects requiring strong project management skills, attention to detail, timing and accountability.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience working in companies and teams with complex business models, rapidly shifting priorities, and where change is the norm.
  • A reputation for successfully driving results in dynamic environments with a high degree of ambiguity and limited given direction.
  • Experience working directly with creators and engaging large and granular communities at scale.
  • Strong knowledge and proficiency with creator and influencer tracking tools (CreatorIQ), social metrics and sentiment reporting tools, as well as UTM’s and tracking links a big bonus.
