The Director, Global Product Technical Support- HEME& UA will lead the Technical Support team for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics and will be responsible for collaborating with all departmental functions to define and manage the HEME&UA product portfolio through its lifecycle of concept to end-of-life.

This position is part of the Global Product Technical Support Team and will be remote, preferably located in Miami, FL. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Direct the definition of design inputs for New Product Development, specifically focusing on installation and serviceability, in collaboration with functional team representatives.
  • Ensure the successful planning and on-time delivery of milestones for New Product Introduction.
  • Strategically plan staffing and resource requirements to effectively support current business operations and New Product Introduction, ensuring the sustained lifecycle of the product.
  • Lead the acquisition of technical information for product development, including product performance, competitive features, and clinical/research requirements, to guarantee the fulfillment of Technical Support deliverables.
  • Drive resolution of complex problems by conducting in-depth analysis of service data, identifying root causes of systemic issues, and developing interim mitigations and potential corrective actions.
  • Spearhead the development of creative and effective support strategies, providing valuable feedback for the drafting of product documentation such as service manuals and procedures.
  • Facilitate the design and testing of methods for verification of all service procedures, collaborating with the direct team, while establishing and sustaining Early Response Team processes through limited distribution of design changes. Additionally, employ sound project management practices to ensure successful product introductions.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or related technical field with 9+ years of experience in the biotechnology industry, or Master's degree with 7+ years of experience.
  • Proven leadership skills with a strong background in project management.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adept at conveying information to diverse audiences and management.
  • Proficient in relevant software programs, including Oracle Business Intelligence Module.
  • Strong analytical skills, prioritizing work to achieve milestones.
  • Willingness to travel internationally and domestically approximately 25% of the time, demonstrating dedication to customer satisfaction and meeting business needs.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Strong problem-solving skills, adept at tackling complex issues.
  • Proficient in Lean and Six Sigma principles, driving process improvements.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), enabling effective communication and data analysis, combined with experience in leading teams through high complexity or breakthrough initiatives.

The annual base salary range for this role is $175,000-$200,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
