Job Description
The Director, Global QARA Finance is accountable for developing and managing streamlined business processes and fiscal controls that expedite FDA remediation and QARA transformation activities, the number one priority in the company. This role will partner with Corporate Accounting and Corporate Tax to develop global strategies and technical processes to enable compliant, accurate, and beneficial accounting and tax treatment of global investments. The Director will collaborate with CTO, CMSO, CQO, and CSO leaders and financial partners to ensure adherence to global remediation and transformation governance process, decisions, and transparent financial reporting. This role will develop tools to support multi-year, cross-functional project planning and fiscal controls for investments and hiring.
Job Duties
* Partner with Corporate Accounting and Tax departments to identify, report and analyze FDA remediation and QARA transformation investments to conform with IFRS and minimize taxes.
* Develop tools to document activities, associated spend and retain documents that substantiate the accounting treatment to enable successful external audits with no findings.
* Manage the review and accuracy of regional accounting treatment and Financial Planning.
* Collaborate with Internal Controls and Legal groups to streamline financial approval process, contract reviews and communication of decisions to expedite remediation activities.
* Document processes, establish RACIs, and conduct global cross-functional training for business owners and financial partners to promote understanding and compliance.
* Establish governance process, tools, and templates to create forum for proposing remediation and transformation ideas, funding requests and communicating outcomes.
* Act as thought leader to QARA Leadership, supporting multi-year global planning, and support for FDA remediation workstreams.
* Oversee business financial personnel to assist in analyzing their monthly financial results and rolling forecast with emphasis on business drivers of investment changes.
* Work with IT on validation, issue resolution and process enhancements related to business changes and audit requirements.
* Facilitate and identify problem areas and recommend process redesign to promote effective efficient and economic business practices.
* Perform other related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required. CPA and/or MBA/Advanced degree are preferred.
* Minimum of 10 years of financial experience preferably in an international and matrixed corporate setting.
* Demonstrated supervisory progression.
* Must possess sound financial competence and business acumen.
* Demonstrated ability to foster an environment of proactive problem solving, transparency and process efficiency.

* Excellent communication skills including the ability to persuasively deliver presentations to all level. Must possess sound financial competence and business acumen.

* Established ability to drive and influence change. Highly developed knowledge of project management principles, practices, techniques, and tools.
* Adept using Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word MS project.
* Strong preference given to a candidate with multi-function experience. Strong technical aptitude.
* Demonstrated strengths in critical thinking and innovative problem-solving skills - financial and strategic
* Ability to manage multiple initiatives, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced, ever-changing, and evolving work environment.
* Ability to develop, review and negotiate business agreements.
* Strong people leadership skills with a track record of effectively managing employee performance and development.
