Director, Global Sourcing
General Summary:
Global Sourcing Director is responsible for development and execution of comprehensive commodity strategies
that reduce the total cost of ownership for products, equipment and services in both the short and long terms.
Accountable for all commercial negotiations and supplier selections within commodities. Responsible for
management of strategic suppliers through formal Preferred Supplier Program and Supplier Relationship
Management (SRM) process and accountable for monitoring supplier risk across all responsible commodities.
Responsible for driving environmental, social and governance policies across the supply chain.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
1. Manage global and/or regional commodity and supplier relationships
2. Develop and manage global Preferred Supplier Program by commodity and region
3. Leads cross-functional sourcing teams to develop and execute comprehensive commodity sourcing
strategies to provide products/services at the lowest total cost while optimizing service and/or inventory
levels
a. Utilizes the data from the company's ERP system to conduct spend analyses and understands
total cost of ownership including supplier/industry economics and internal demand
b. Collaborates with team to develop scope of work, overall business requirements/standards and
drafts effective RFP documents
c. Performs electronic competitive bids, market analysis, detailed cost/bid comparison analysis
and supplier evaluations
d. Determines cost savings opportunities from a total cost perspective
e. Develops and negotiates strategic agreements
4. Accountable for supplier and contract lifecycle management and compliance
5. Responsible for delivering commodity productivity through price, source change, value analysis (VA) or continuous improvement projects
6. Drive Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and quarterly supplier business reviews
7. Responsible for continuity of supply - engage with suppliers to efficiently resolve escalated issues and
formally manage and secure supplier capacity
8. Support strategic projects / programs across regions involving suppliers
9. Develop and implement environmental, social and governance policies across the supply chain
10. Actively monitor and mitigate supplier risk including financial, capacity, quality, and compliance
11. Responsible for forecasting, reporting, mitigating, and recovery of commodity inflation
12. Demonstrates leadership and provides guidance to stakeholders/business owners to ensure sourcing
process is embraced by the organization
13. Works in cooperation with other senior site management to provide a safe, collaborative and welcoming
work environment
Required Travel:
If the job requires overnight travel, what percentage of time is spent away from home base? 20%.

Demonstrated Professional competencies in:• Strong Analytic skills• Global Business Thinking/Strategizing -Demonstrates global knowledge of suppliers,
industry trends, emerging markets and technology.• Demonstrate competence in negotiating skills and assessing vendors.• Candidate must have demonstrated experience coordinating, facilitating discussions,
consultation and conflict resolution skills• Project Management - Identifies needed resources, develops project plan, and drives
project execution.• Relationship Management- Works collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders at
appropriate sourcing milestones, shares global research, manages one voice to supply
base.
