WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We're looking for a Director to join the Global Treasury Accounting team at WHQ. This individual will manage a team dedicated to ensuring the complete and accurate accounting and reporting of NIKE's Global Treasury activities, including activities related to Foreign Exchange, Derivatives, Investments/Debt portfolios, certain cash management, and other related business processes
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
If this is you, you'll serve as a key member of the Corporate Controlling organization and a subject matter expert in the technical accounting areas of Global Treasury-related topics.
This includes:
- Global ownership of the accounting and reporting for activities performed by our Global Treasury operations teams
- Leading the execution of monthly accounting procedures, internal controls, and quarterly financial reporting
- Developing and driving the consistent application of Global Treasury related accounting policies across NIKE's operating entities
- Researching, documenting, and applying technical accounting standards in addition to assisting in NIKE's ERP/system implementations
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You will closely partner with the Global Treasury operations teams to ensure Controlling's understanding of and engagement in Global Treasury's practices, transactions, and initiatives. This includes crafting strong business partnerships across functions/geographies both within and external to Controlling.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience; ideally in Public Accounting and/or Corporate Accounting
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required
- Strong foundation of technical accounting skills with experience in U.S. GAAP, SEC research, and Treasury Accounting (Derivatives, Fair Value, Investments, Debt, etc.)
- Validated leadership capabilities in leading, coaching, driving, and inspiring diverse, world-class teams
- Consistent record of developing high-profile, influential, and collaborative relationships across teams, functions, and layer
- Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP is a plus
- Strong enthusiasm and passion for the Nike brand!
