Anaplan is looking for a Global Head (Director) of GTM Compensation who will play a key role in driving Anaplan’s Go-To-Market (GTM) compensation strategy and program. Reporting to the VP of GTM Strategy & Planning, you will work closely with partners in Finance, Accounting, GTM Operations, Analytics, HR, and other teams to develop and administer a world class GTM compensation program, spanning not just sales, but sales development, customer success, alliances / partners, and marketing.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead the annual GTM compensation planning process, gathering constructive feedback from a wide range of stakeholders to ensure that GTM goals and compensation align with the company’s overall strategy and financial goals
  • Build and launch training materials that ensure every participant and audience understands their compensation plans.
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and reliable plan administration including quota allocation, plan distribution, monthly accrual support, and payout calculations
  • Provide regular reporting and insights to Anaplan’s GTM leadership on plan payouts and KPIs of overall GTM commission and payout performance vs plan
  • Partner closely with GTM Operations, Analytics, Accounting, Finance, HR and other GTM and G&A functions as needed to ensure that data used to calculate compensation are accurate, processes are documented, and tools are reliable
  • Partner closely with Total Rewards and other stakeholders to ensure that Anaplan’s GTM compensation reflects industry best practices
  • Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and scalability of the GTM Commissions team’s processes over time, including creation of process and policy documentation
  • Provide management, mentorship and coaching to a team of up to 3

Your Qualifications

To be successful in the role, you must possess the following skills and experiences:

  • 10+ years of Finance, Sales Finance Sales Operations, Compensation and/or Strategy & Operations work experience
  • 3+ years of Tech (SaaS) industry experience in Sales Finance and / or Sales Operations, focused on Compensation or Commissions
  • Proven leadership ability, 2+ years of people management experience
  • Expert knowledge of sales compensation concepts (including quota, territory, accelerators, and spiffs) plan structures, processes, and methodologies
  • Familiarity with sales compensation planning tools (Anaplan)
  • Excellent modeling, reporting and presentation skills (MS Office Suite, Anaplan)
  • Player-coach mentality, willingness to roll up sleeves and dig into difficult problems
  • Proven ability in extensive cross-functional collaboration and influence over solutions to achieve shared results; collaborative and consultative style; skilled in supporting internal and external customers
  • Highly process-oriented approach with the ability to build and drive new ways of working, eventually optimizing for continued efficiency, scalability, and agility

This is a remote based position, based in the USA. You must have authorization to work in the United States to be applicable for hire.
