Amplify is seeking a Director of Hiring and Onboarding, Professional Development, to lead all aspects of the Professional Learning Specialist (PLS) hiring and onboarding process, including driving a strong talent acquisition strategy, developing scalable infrastructures to support hiring and onboarding, executing a best-in-class onboarding experience and equipping members of the PD team with the right tools and resources to successfully support their PLSs once they are hired. The Director of Hiring and Onboarding, PD will own the overall candidate experience from end to end and ensure that we successfully prepare PLSs with deep program knowledge and training expertise. The Director of Hiring and Onboarding, PD will also report to the Associate Vice President of Training & Development.

Responsibilities:
Hiring
- Partner actively with senior leadership throughout the business to assess and be ahead of departmental growth needs
- Build strong partnerships and collaborate with peers in HR, Customer Success and Sales in order to develop a comprehensive hiring strategy
- Design, execute and evolve a scalable and thorough hiring process that brings on high-quality talent (both contractors and full-time employees) and improves our high performance culture
- Develop, define and communicate a strategy for regional responsibilities for hiring
- Provide trainings to all regional teams on the hiring process, key practices and resources so that hiring is executed consistently across the department
- Regularly analyze the effectiveness and overall candidate satisfaction of hiring efforts and share insights to key stakeholders
- Innovate and react quickly as business realities change, staying up to date on best hiring practices
- Collaborate regularly with Product Training and Enablement and regional leaders
Onboarding
- Ensure the development of a best-in-class onboarding experience that engages participants, incorporates effective adult learning principles and equips them with deep program knowledge and training expertise
- Build strong partnerships and collaborate with peers in HR, IT, Customer Success and Sales in order to develop a comprehensive, efficient and scalable onboarding strategy that reflects company, departmental and regional team priorities
- Develop, define and communicate a strategy for regional responsibilities for onboarding
- Provide trainings to all regional teams on the onboarding process, key practices and resources so that onboarding is executed consistently across the department
- Regularly analyze effectiveness of onboarding efforts and share insights to key stakeholders
- Identify trends from onboarding efforts within the department and orchestrate and/or implement solutions that leverage people/talent/process to address the core factors
- Innovate and react quickly as business realities change, staying up to date on best practices
- Collaborate with the larger organization to assist with the selection, implementation and build-out of an LMS
- Collaborate regularly with Product Training and Enablement and regional leaders
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience
- 5+ years of K-8 classroom teaching experience
- Experience (at scale) designing and delivering professional development sessions and helping educators adopt new practices.
- Experience developing and managing large-scale projects in an education setting, including creating detailed plans, forecasting and meeting deadlines, and maintaining a budget.
- Experience analyzing project feedback data and using it to inform implementation next steps
- Demonstrated proficiency of technology integration in workshops and in the classroom
- Demonstrated proficiency in use of technology-based productivity tools such as Microsoft, Google Applications, etc...)
- Ability to travel regionally and nationally (per travel policy) Amplify's COVID-19 Policy requires full vaccination for all travel and in-person meetings.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience as an Instructional Leader and/or Curriculum Developer across a district or network of schools
- Biliteracy a plus (Spanish)
- Experience delivering PD at Amplify or using Amplify products as an educator or administrator
- Experience with hiring, onboarding, and managing teams of people
