This position is a hybrid role open to candidates in the greater Tampa Bay area. This position will be required to come into the office 2-3 days a week in Clearwater, FL.

The Director HR Business Partner is a strategic HR role that liaises with the Sector/Division/Section Heads and their respective leadership teams to broker holistic HR solutions which address key business challenges. They are also the “face of HR” to these senior clients.  The Director - HR Business Partner does this by partnering with other functional areas of HR to create, evaluate and deliver scalable solutions across their respective client groups.  The Director - HRBP is a strategic thought partner for organization design, leadership development, talent management, org health and compensation strategies.  They will support their business clients in the delivery of corporate HR programs and services.  The Director - HRBP also builds the capability of their leadership through coaching with respect to leading and managing their respective organizations.  For performance management, the HRBP will collaborate with the Employee Relations Partner to inculcate a proactive performance culture throughout their client groups.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify the top 2 to 3 root cause business challenges of their client groups and translate that into key HR priorities 
  • Partner with Global Compensation and the business to help broker scalable compensation, pay related strategies
  • Collaborate with Global Talent Acquisition and the business to focus and prioritize key hiring decisions, including leadership hiring
  • Accelerate Manager Self Service in partnership with HR Operations and Services to help automate key HR processes to make them scalable, simpler, more efficient, transparent and more user-friendly
  • Accelerate Employee Self Service in partnership with HR Operations and Services to help automate key HR processes to make them scalable, simpler, more efficient, transparent and more user-friendly
  • Build leadership/management capability through coaching and being a trusted advisor/sounding board for people related decisions
  • In partnership with client leaders, assess leadership talent (performance, potential), identify high impact roles, then support them in their succession planning and leadership gap needs, in partnership with Talent Acquisition
  • In partnership with Employee Relations, inculcate a proactive performance management culture, including training, coaching and guiding people managers, as well as 
  • Help leaders to create a healthy and inclusive culture for employees
  • Enable and empower the business to flawlessly implement key annual HR programs

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, Economics, Human Resources Management, or other relevant fields
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in HR functions with increasing levels of responsibility and subject matter expertise
  • Previous experience as a strategic HR Business Partner, as defined by this job description, is a very strong asset
  • Experience/expertise in at least 2 of the 4 HR functional areas:  Compensation, Global People Development, HR Operations/Service/Processes, Talent Acquisition
  • Extensive experience in client facing HR roles across key HR services and products, i.e. understanding our business clients needs and how they consume these services
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and develop strong cross-functional working relationships across HR and our business clients, in a balanced manner
  • Ability to think “outside-in” (i.e. starting with the business client) to develop scalable and repeatable HR solutions
  • High attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks, and work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment
  • Exceptional ability in diplomatic and collaborative communication and partnership across Sectors and levels
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts in simple terms to various audiences.
  • Manage highly confidential information with professionalism and integrity, plus excellent business judgment concerning confidential matters.
  • Effectively partnering with the International HR Business Partners, to ensure that the strategy and culture of the respective client groups in HQ have consistency in global locations, i.e. with an 80% global, 20% local approach
  • Starting with an inclusion mindset in dealings with colleagues and clients
