The HR Director is responsible for providing overall HR leadership to the Digital organization at Collins and will work in partnership with HR leaders and executives across the 7 Collins strategic business units to drive HR functional excellence. In this global role, the incumbent will build talent strategies, enable a culture of inclusion and deploy organizational effectiveness tools that attract, reward, engage, retain, and develop our global and diverse talent base.
This role also represents Collins Digital HR in various RTX-wide forums.
This position can be worked remotely in the U.S.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead and/or partner (with COE's) on items including, but not limited to talent acquisition, talent development, leadership development, succession planning, diversity, equity and inclusion, organizational effectiveness, performance development and total rewards.
- Create and execute an innovative plan to attract, develop and retain digital talent- focused on the workforce of the future.
- Manage a global team of HR Partners that work together, leveraging best practice and regional expertise. Provide guidance, direction, and coaching; assesses performance, provide feedback, and actively develop talent.
- Work across the function to build, execute and status the functional Diversity, Equity and Inclusion plan to drive tangible improvements in diverse representation. Integrate Diversity and Inclusiveness principles and practices into business goals, talent acquisition and development strategies, ensuring a robust talent pipeline. Promote a strong culture of inclusion across the function.
- Orchestrate key talent movement across SBU's with an aim towards building diverse teams, a One Collins culture and robust succession.
- Participate on various cross-RTX teams and councils to drive best practice, program harmonization, talent sharing etc. across the business.
- Partner with leaders to evaluate the effectiveness of their teams and their organizational design. Facilitate workshops to re-evaluate existing structures, where needed. Lead change management efforts and new leader onboarding/assimilation activities, as required.
- Lead key annual HR processes including, but not limited to: succession planning, compensation planning, workforce planning, talent acquisition, talent program nominations.
- Counsel / coach functional leaders on matters concerning development of their organization to enhance effectiveness and potential. Connect leaders to the right resources to support their own development and the development/effectiveness of their teams.
- Ability to travel up to 30%
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and 14 years prior relevant experience OR
- Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 12 years experience OR
- In absence of a degree, 18 years of relevant experience is Required
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Collins Aerospace will not offer sponsorship for this position
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience serving as the prime consultant and coach to senior leaders for their organization on HR matters relating to organizational strategies and business imperatives.
- Strong business acumen, be innovative, adapt well to change and work collaboratively with strategic influence to drive initiatives across a matrixed environment.
- Deep knowledge of HR fundamentals (talent acquisition, compensation, performance development, employee relations, diversity and inclusion, organizational change, learning and development, and org. effectiveness).
- Ability to develop and present senior level leaders with proposed solutions that will collaboratively drive change throughout their organizations.
- Strong project management and prioritization skills with proven attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills to draw appropriate conclusions from data and expertise in systems, anticipating second and third order of effects when making recommendations
