The Director Human Resources will collaborate extensively with Business Leadership, HR Business Partners, HR Shared Services and COEs. The HR Director is responsible for executing the people strategy across North America locations inclusive of engineering, product management/development, supply chain, sales, and distribution centers.

What you will do:
  • Works with HR Business Partner to execute on HR People Strategy and ensure alignment with business strategy and critical business priorities.
  • Provide guidance and direction on initiatives, organizational design & restructuring as needed.
  • Drives culture through consistent and quality execution of performance management, talent management, compensation, benefits, talent acquisition, communication and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Acts as a liaison between business leaders, COEs and HR Shared Services to ensure understanding and consistent application and execution of processes, programs and priorities.
  • Evaluates HR team performance, processes, skills and results within the business. Identify and coordinate improvement areas with COEs and HR Shared Services.
  • Coaches, trains and develops clients to build key leadership competencies, prepare for growth opportunities, improved performance, behaviors and retention.
  • Identifies recruiting needs, talent gaps and critical leadership roles that require succession depth.
  • Works with the leadership team to develop learning/training plan for organization (to include individual development plans for leaders).
  • Supports the Organizational Health Survey process including analysis, action plan development, and overall improvement in the workplace.


How you will do it:

With the VPHR NA Solutions and HR Business Partners, define the human resources goals and objectives and ensures complete alignment to the business. Responsible for cascading goals and driving performance within the Solutions and Services Team. Implements strategies and leverages the proper support teams to ensure best in class: reward programs, compensation structures; compliance and reporting functions; mergers and acquisition support; organizational structure and development; performance management; training and development; employee relations; employee recruitment and retention; diversity and affirmative action strategies. Provides leadership and consulting support to leadership on matters of strategy implementation in support of achieving corporate objectives and business growth. Works with management team to define workforce and hiring plans and drives recruiting staff to develop strategy for recruiting top caliber employees. Prepares and evaluates periodic reporting concerning headcount, turnover, position openings, etc., to assure the best utilization of personnel. Responsible for managing resource allocation, via open position review and reduction in force activities, to ensure the organization is appropriately staffed. Partner with HR Business partner, acts as senior level advisor on human resources issues to senior management throughout the organization. Implement the client group's Salary Administration and Pay for Performance strategies. Reviews, audits and approves salary transactions for assigned employee levels according to applicable procedures. Counsels and advises management regarding Salary Planning/Compensation, equity issues, promotions, job reclassifications, etc. Recommends grading of new/revised positions with Total Rewards. Required to lead HR projects that are rolled out across North America. May lead a team of HR professionals to assist with these initiatives. Maintains current knowledge and understanding of regulations, industry trends, current practices, new developments, and applicable laws regarding human resources. Partnering with Legal Department on reductions, terminations, discipline and/or interpretation of employment law and policy.

What we are looking for:

Bachelors' degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or related field is required. Master's Degree is preferred.

Requires a minimum of ten to fifteen years generalist HR experience, five years in a leadership capacity.

Experiences to include; Employee Relations, Organization Design, Change Management, Employee Relations, Workforce Planning, Staffing, Coaching, Compensation/Benefits, Diversity, Employment Law and Continuous Improvement.
