We're looking for...
We're looking for a Director, HR Technology & Operations to build the engine that drives our People Operations/HR systems. The role will be both strategic and operational, and will be responsible for designing, delivering, and optimizing processes, programs, and shared services to support Robinhood's rapid growth. The right candidate will love bringing structure and scale to solve complex growth challenges.
You'll partner with HR, Engineering, Finance, and other teams to migrate us to a modern Human Capital Management (HCM) system, driving change management and increasing the rigor of our operations and reporting. You'll be the subject matter expert in People Operations/HR processes and technology, using knowledge and data to improve processes, identify trends, and automate manual work. You and your team will own and manage critical workstreams across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding/offboarding, data management, contingent workforce, compliance, and operating procedures.
As Director, HR Technology & Operations, you'll elevate Robinhood in critical ways:
  • Hire, develop, and lead the team that powers People Operations/HR infrastructure; coach and lead team members, playing an active role in developing expertise and enabling growth
  • Partner with HR, Engineering, and Finance to migrate to a modern Human Capital Management/HRIS system to build for Robinhood's future; own pre- and post-launch end-user support, testing, change management, and training
  • Lead change management to ensure new processes/technology land well with employees and the People team
  • Build collaborative relationships and provide consultative advice to managers and HR Partners on systems, policies and guidelines interpretation
  • Drive the long term systems roadmap for the People Operations/HR team; understand People Operations/HR strategy and processes to architect, develop, and implement scalable, flexible solutions that anticipate business needs
  • Conduct working sessions with users to gather, understand, and analyze business requirements; lead cross-functional People Operations/HR projects for the enhancement of both operational efficiencies and employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle, including process design, mapping, improvements, and automation
  • Partner with HR, Legal, and business leaders to support Robinhood's contractor/extended workforce
  • Own and deliver user-friendly training and job-aid resources on new technology, process updates, as well as existing People Operations/HR standards, operating procedures, processes, policies, and playbooks
  • Work with cross functional teams (Recruiting Operations, Finance, Analytics, Benefits, Global Mobility, etc.) to design, develop and deliver programs and solutions that meet the needs of Robinhood as we continue to grow and scale.
  • Take Robinhood's data seriously, and hold the team to high standards across security, compliance, and privacy

Some things we consider critical to being our Director, HR Technology & Operations:
  • Experience implementing and managing Human Capital Management and HRIS platforms supporting Benefits, Payroll, Compensation, Performance, Absence, and Time Tracking
  • Ability to design HR solutions at scale, with emphasis on customer service and anticipation
  • Management skills to inspire the team to provide highest level of customer service through coaching, teaching, and sharing feedback
  • Strong project management experience with ability to partner across functional teams
  • Experience performing or automating complex reporting and analysis
  • Understanding of People Operations/HR from a business perspective, and ability translate requirements and drive the solutions
  • Strong analytical abilities to solve complex problems with strong attention to detail and organization skills
  • Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical users
  • Highly organized, team-oriented, and flexible

CO Residents: In Colorado, the base pay for this position ranges from $166000 to $220000. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and participation in Robinhood's equity plan.
We're looking for more growth-minded and collaborative people to be a part of our journey in democratizing finance for all. If you're ready to give 100% in helping us achieve our mission-we'd love to have you apply even if you feel unsure about whether you meet every single requirement in this posting. At Robinhood, we're looking for people invigorated by our mission, values, and drive to change the world, not just those who simply check off all the boxes.
