Summary

The Director of Hybrid Cloud Engineering leads a highly technical Global organization responsible for the strategy, architecture, build, and operations of Simplot's infrastructure and platforms. This role oversees a vast breadth of Cloud and on-prem technologies and requires an experienced technical leader with a modern-day approach to drive success in the organization. This leader will have a relentless approach to Technology Resiliency and Security across our Hybrid Cloud environment. The Director will have a passion for people development, experience in Resource Capacity Planning, and a commitment to metrics and KPI's to provide valuable insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensures excellent service delivery for all key areas of the Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure organization: (Network, Network Security, Infrastructure, Data Platform Administration, Linux and Microsoft Server Platforms, OpenShift, Microsoft Azure, Disaster Recovery, Operations, etc).
• Implements an IT infrastructure and Cloud strategy and roadmap designed to meet the current and future needs of the organization; integrating innovative solutions to control costs and provide a strategic advantage.
• Takes a leadership role in setting team vision and direction, ensures standards and policies are maintained and systems and solutions are well documented, inventoried, and compliant with technical and operational standards, policies, and procedures.
• Develops benchmark measures (KPI's, technical measurements, Performance targets and SLA's) to evaluate productivity within both the team and technology.
• Develops and controls the annual operating and capital expenditure budget to ensure it is consistent with overall strategic objectives of IT and the business.
• Directs the development of the team's sourcing strategy and provides executive oversight for strategic vendor and partner relationship management.
• Leads personnel management activities, including performance management, career development, and employee engagement.
• Ensures a security- first mindset across the organization focused on a healthy and resilient infrastructure and platforms.
• Builds and maintains strong relationships with business and IT leaders to develop a clear understanding of business needs; ensures cost-effective delivery of IT technology and services to meet those needs and responds with agility to changing business priorities.
• Focuses on Resource Capacity Planning to efficiently utilize the appropriate mix of in-house and 3rd party resourcing to meet variable business demands and achieve foundational technology objectives.

Typical Education

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or related field, or equivalent work experience.

Relevant Experience

• 15+ years related experience and/or training
• Experience with ITIL Processes (Incident, Change, and Problem Management)
• Preferably 5 or more years of experience in large, cross-functional teams influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders effectively across the organization and within complex contexts.
