The Scoop:

Directs, develops, and promotes the overall vision, goals, objectives, and strategies for the Implementation group, in line with MedImpact's goals and objectives.

What You Get To Do:

  • Direct the implementation of all new health plans by working with the appropriate Account Manager, Implementation Coordinator, PBM Coordinator, and client representative to ensure all facets of the plan implementation are completed
  • Provides strategic direction for all Client Implementations
  • Ensures Implementations are functioning at the highest level and corporate standards are met or exceeded
  • Determine staff needs for access to information sources, equipment, software, and communication systems in an effort to maximize productivity and promote professional competency
  • Facilitate implementation team meetings; accountable for all aspects of Implementation process
  • Oversees day-to-day Implementation activities and continually develops and monitors performance goals
  • Develop and promote the Implementation vision, goals, and objectives in support of MedImpact's overall vision and objectives
  • Select, develop, and manage the organization to implement the vision and keep team members motivated and focused on achieving goals and objectives
  • Determine feasible implementation timelines, review project deliverables, develop and maintain accurate project information throughout the implementation process
  • Ensure highest quality measures utilized and followed
  • Lead New Business Implementation Process and Team on all aspects of implementation, including benefit management, pharmacy network, information technology, production, and reporting, etc.
  • Travel with sales team for finalist presentations; coordinate with Account Management team to manage all client expectations through the completion of the implementation project
  • Work closely with Contracts, Underwriting (Risk Sign Off), Account Management, and Sales to obtain the Plan Profile, and review the contract and RFP to determine implementation deliverables and costs
  • Work closely within MedImpact to maintain on-going technical and operational knowledge
  • Provide direct client support at a senior level
  • Partner with senior management to ensure service level is maintained throughout client relationships
  • Maintain development, measurement and maintenance of Implementation department yearly goals and objectives as related to new and existing business implementations

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Manages assigned staff in the segment area
  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the unit
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
  • Supports and enforces all company policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner, taking corrective action whenever necessary

Education and/or Experience

For consideration candidates will need:

  • Master's Degree or equivalent
  • More than ten (10 ) years' related experience in a healthcare or PBM environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Previous employee management and project management experience
  • Executive level management experience preferred
  • Leadership experience may be substituted with ten (10) years of MedImpact experience plus an appropriate external leadership training program and internal mentorship with a seasoned leader (VP ) for current active employees

Computer Skills

Intermediate to advanced skill set in MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

None currently required.

Other Skills and Abilities

Superior knowledge and understanding of PBM operations, customer service and implementations. Excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication and group presentation skills. Ability to lead and direct several interactive departments and work with others.

Travel

This position requires domestic travel of up to 25% of the time.
