About the Role
The Director, Inbound Product Marketing - Legal Tech role has responsibility for Inbound Product Marketing efforts for our Law Firm Financial & Business Management portfolio. Managing a team and providing ownership of the portfolio value propositions, developing a deep understanding of customer needs, translating needs to internal teams to inform product direction, a consistent awareness of our differentiation and growth opportunities, and owning customer journey identification as well as persona development.
Note: This is a *hybrid role (*mix of working from home and in-office) and candidates can be based near any of these corp. office locations: Toronto, CA, Minneapolis metro area (Eagan, MN), Dallas metro area (Carrollton, TX), Culver City, CA, NY City, Chicago.
In this opportunity as Director, Inbound Product Marketing - Legal Tech, you will:
- Manage a small team of Product Marketing Managers and Associate Managers to achieve the strategic goals of a business segment.
- Articulates the strategy and defines the vision.
- Devise business cases for executive level approval.
- Drives innovation and differentiation across a set of propositions to address current and future client needs.
- Influence of strategic prioritization of the Law Firm Finance & Business Management portfolio which could include both products and partnerships.
- Works with cross-functional resources to ensure on-time, in-scope delivery.
- Gathers, prioritizes, and analyzes client feedback to drive product innovation and increase client adoption and retention.
- Identifies build vs. buy opportunities for a proposition and leverages the organization to execute as needed.
- Responsible for developing talent within the department.
- Work cross-functionally on product launches to assist the Outbound Product Marketing teams.
- Understands customer NPS scores and drives activities to improve or retain our NPS scores.
- Assists in revenue planning and pricing decisions for new products.
About You
You may be a fit for the Director, Inbound Product Marketing - Legal Tech if your background includes:
- 7+ Years' Experience in relevant role
- Undergraduate degree required, JD or MBA is preferred.
- A strong track record managing multiple end-to-end propositions and complex projects for a professional services market.
- Proven ability to establish a vision for a portfolio of propositions and take the idea from concept to successful commercial release and management.
- Proven ability to communicate complex propositions to internal and external stakeholders as demonstrated by successful launch of one or more propositions from business plan through to delivery and management.
- Significant understanding of the Legal and/or professional services industry and their associated financial management needs would be a distinct advantage.
- Proven ability to understand technology and the creation of compelling SaaS value propositions.
- Positive attitude, collaborative, adaptable to change.
- Evidence of direct or indirect line management.
- Familiarity of working in a matrix environment and an ability to influence multiple stakeholders.
- Knowledge of the Law Firm market and their interactions with financial and practice management solutions would be a distinct advantage.
- Built a network of key influencers to help guide the development of differentiated value propositions.
