The Director Information Systems assists the VP of Technology with directing and overseeing the design and development of systems software or software applications across the organization.

Here’s what you’ll do
  • Oversees evaluation of business needs, definition of functional requirements and technical specifications, and coding of secure and efficient solutions or enhancements
  • Develops and enforces software quality standards and processes across the organization
  • Provides programming expertise throughout design and development processes
  • Oversees software engineering, testing, and reliability teams
  • Evaluates new and existing application programs to ensure feasibility
  • May communicate with internal and external users to understand needs
  • Works with product management to develop short and long-term product roadmaps to ensure continuous improvement of applications
  • Works with the VP of Technology to develop and adhere to software engineering budgets
  • Achieve performance measures and adhere to established standards in conjunction with Breeze Aviation Group Values of Safety, Kindness, Integrity, Ingenuity, and Excellence
Here’s what you need to be successful

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4-year degree in Computer Science
  • 5+ years of experience managing Software Engineering Teams
  • 8+ years of experience within Software Engineering
  • In-depth understanding of airline industry trends
  • High performance orientation, ability to work well under pressure, prioritize projects, meet deadlines, and maintain flexibility
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
  • Must have a positive attitude and strong desire for success

  • Be comfortable with learning and tackling projects utilizing unfamiliar technologies
  • High level of integrity and ethics, able to handle sensitive and/or proprietary information with discretion and confidentiality
