The Mission

We are seeking a talented Inside Sales leader to join our growing sales team. The right candidate is someone who is passionate about coaching, mentoring and leading inside sales representatives in their day to day as well as on their career journey. Your mission will be to train, develop and manage our team of inside sales representatives and work as a partnership with AWS Demand Gen and Cloud Sales Center. You will be responsible for working closely with the VP of Sales and the other field sales leaders around campaign management and outbound sales activity. As the inside sales leader you will be responsible for co-creating a career roadmap for the inside sales representatives and holding them accountable for daily activity. You will also engage with AWS inside leadership as we work to grow our partnership with their respective teams. 

Your Assignment

  • The Inside Sales Director will be responsible for leading and developing a highly engaged, top-performing team of 10-15 Inside Sales Representatives who partner closely with AWS Inside Sales/Demand Gen teams and Caylent Field Sales leadership and Account Executives to generate leads and new business for Caylent and AWS
  • Develop and deliver ongoing sales training to ensure every Inside Sales Representative understands their role, the AWS ecosystem, professional services and cloud technology. 
  • Work closely with VP of Sales and Field Sales Business Development leadership to share best practices and work to drive a path of promotion for Inside Sales Representatives. 
  • Monitor lead conversion, meeting activity and AWS engagement to drive accountability across team and coach the team appropriately
  • Develop and cultivate a positive team of future Account Executives
  • Create, share and implement campaigns to run in partnership with AWS Demand Gen and AWS Inside sales teams
  • Motivate and coach the team to generate new leads that convert to new customers 
  • Responsible for the inside sales team’s professional growth and development to ensure we are moving Inside Sales Representatives closer to a promotion path to Account Executive role. 
  • Drive campaign results and build reporting to share back with the internal leaders and AWS leadership

Your Qualifications

  • Experience working with multiple sales partners, developing effective inside sales processes and new customer acquisition motions 
  • Track record of developing sales people and increasing performance over time. Ability to develop and promote inside sales people into field account executives 
  • Direct leadership experience over inside sales representatives for two or more years 
  • Ability to empower and energize a diverse sales team to hit quota
  • Data-driven and data-informed leadership; excellent at SFDC and Apollo reporting 
  • Able to proactively diagnose and address gaps in pipeline creation with tactical plans & campaigns cross-functionally with demand gen and field marketing teams
  • Able to measure and diagnose strategic efficacy and recommend course correction/shifts to business plans

Preferred Qualifications

  • BA/BS from a 4 year University or equivalent documented experience

The On Target Earnings (OTE) for this position is $170,000 - $225,000. If you are hired at Caylent, your On Target Earnings (OTE) is determined on factors such as skills, experience, geographic location, and other market conditions. While it's not typical for offers to be made at the top of the range, please keep in mind that the On Target Earnings (OTE) is only one component of your overall compensation. Additionally, you are eligible for the benefits, bonuses, and incentives as listed above in the job description!
