The Director of Inside Sales manages the daily operations in a growing department responsible for converting high value leads into qualified opportunities for Outside Sales. This individual is responsible for managing the department holistically, including the dialer and other technologies leveraged by this team. The Director Inside Sales should have specific experience with running high volume, fun focused, contact centers. This person should also possess the ability to effectively manage resources and systems to optimize cost of acquisition and sales results, including lead purchasing, negotiating with lead vendors, new affiliate marketing model implementation and $500K monthly budget oversight of all lead generation costs. Role will also report dotted line to VP Marketing.Â
Essential Job Functions
- Inspire and foster a high-performing and FUN sales cultureÂ
- Motivate, train, coach, and develop a team of Inside Sales Reps, Team Leads, and Managers across multiple regions
- Effectively create and articulate ROI in negotiations with all external vendors and agencies
- Lead a variety of training sessions monthly, this could range from small group to large group presentations and development sessions
- Create team compensation structure and performance metrics
- Ensure that the company meets its stipulated growth goals
- Actively create, manage, and update calling campaigns in dialer – Five9
- Negotiate, onboard new vendors optimize lead purchasing and other inbound lead models
- Lead pitch development and adherence process
- Collaborate proactively with Outside Sides to build and maintain a high-performing full sales process
- Develop well targeted strategies and sales plans
- Ensure effective prospecting, up/cross selling, pipeline development
- Develop strategies for the allocation of resources for the achievement of given quota
- Facilitate and direct the use of resources
- Ensure the consistent implementation of effective sales processes for optimum performance and success of the organization
- Assist the marketing personnel in developing demand generation strategies to optimize resultsÂ
- Forecast all media buys by sub market offices to insure lead volume delivery
- Keep track, monitor, and respond to all company’s performances related to sales
- Develop effective benchmarks for optimum team performance
- Collaborate with other departments to develop sales strategy for enhancing the company’s growth
- Travel as business needs dictate

- Technical acumen and knowledge of organization’s products, software and platformsÂ
- Reporting analysis across CRM Salesforce software and other platform analysis to drive ROI
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or other applicable field of studyÂ
- Min 5 years previous Sales Management experience, some of which must be in an inside sales and/or call center environment
- Proficient in dialer software, Salesforce and Google Suite
- Minimum 3 years media buying and affiliate negotiation experience through marketing growth campaigns
- Knowledge of residential solar power sales, preferred
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment criminal and drug screen
- Proven track record of leading, coaching, and developing an inside sales/telemarketing department or call center
- Must have previous employee development experience
- Bilingual is a plus
- Must have a clean driving record (example, no DUI in the last five years)
- Must have a valid state driver’s license
