IT Director - Business Partner

As the "IT Director - Business Partner (ITBP)" you will be the senior IT leader and face of Honeywell IT for the Aerospace Commercial Excellence function (CE). You will be responsible from all aspects of IT for the CE function including strategy, project definition, implementation, and support. The IT BP will partner closely with corporate shared services IT teams for project implementation and support delivery.

Your direct reports are subject matter experts on Aero CE processes and tools, and you will coach and mentor them to help their grow and to set and meet their individual goals. Dozens of other employees and contractors will work on your portfolio of projects and will be indirectly accountable to you.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Aerospace solution roadmaps in collaboration with corporate and Aerospace teams
• Collaborate with Aerospace management and enterprise IT to develop annual budgets for respective business areas
• Develop solution concepts and Business Cases for new investments
• Perform business analysis and prepare recommendations and business plans
• Create and analyze relevant information and develop recommendations for presenting to senior management
• Act as the key liaison across all functional areas, including business units and information technology
• Create shared vision of their respective solutions and facilitate decision making and arbitration relating to trade-offs both within and between different solution platforms.Drive adoption of Honeywell standard IT solutions called the "Global Design Model" wherever possible.Highlight Aerospace gaps and drive to a solution that works for Aerospace.
• Develop and implement sound rationale for portfolio management and for managing product phase-in/phase-out plans, proactively anticipating gaps and overlaps within the portfolio
• Create consensus with other functions as to the timing of solution introductions and retirement
• Oversee the launch of solution and maximize the positive impact on the organization-ensure benefits realization
• Identify, screen, and evaluate new solution opportunities to address unmet internal and external customer needs
• Partner with key staff members to contribute to strategic business plans
• Possess strong analytical skills, including an understanding of business economics and financial resources
• Develop, train, and manage the IT professionals on your team.

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have asylum or refugee status in the U.S.

YOU MUST HAVE

• Eight or more years of related experience in IT or Commercial Excellence or related function combined
• Five or more years of project or portfolio management experience
