Favor TechConsulting, LLC (FTC) is seeking a talented Director IT Infrastructure and Innovation to support our Operations team. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Role Overview: The Director of IT Infrastructure and Innovation will assist the VP of Operations with planning, directing, coordinating, and overseeing operations activities in an assigned portfolio of contracts, ensuring the development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet the current and future needs of the organization.

Responsibilities: This position will assist the VP of Operations in the following areas:

  • Monitor and report on the P&L of each project within the scope of their portfolio
  • Manage all contracts and task orders within the portfolio to ensure successful delivery according to the SOW for each
  • Manage, mentor and provide guidance to Project Managers assigned within the portfolio
  • Collaborates with senior leadership to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on operations projects and systems.
  • Collaborates with other divisions and departments to successfully meet the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Adhere to established processes, technologies, and systems to communicate risks, objectives and status of projects.
  • Enforce operations-related policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent support and execution.
  • Reviews and approves cost control reports, cost estimates, and staffing requirements for projects.
  • Presents periodic performance reports and metrics to the Chief Delivery Officer (CDO), Chief Operating Officer (COO), Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and other leadership.
  • Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in operations management.
  • Identifies training needs and ensures proper training is developed and provided.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven track record of supporting multiple Federal Government agencies
  • Ability to manage multiple contract types (T&M, FFP, and CPFF)
  • Experienced negotiating and managing subcontractors
  • Proven experience of increasing margins on their respective portfolio while still delivering at a high level
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Extensive experience providing support in the areas of ITSM; specifically Service Desk, Network Engineering, Software Development

Professional Certification(s):

PMP, ITIL, HDI

Formal Education:

BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or 10 years of relevant field experience

Years of Professional Experience:

6-8 years experience managing a portfolio of projects


Desired Skills & Experience

  • PMP certification
  • Experience providing expert level oversight of enterprise wide initiatives.
  • Understanding of CMMI for Services and ISO 20000 and ITIL Service Delivery

Professional Certification(s):

PMP, ITIL, HDI

Formal Education:

BS

Years of Professional Experience:

6-8 Years relevant experience
