Job Description
We are currently looking for a Director, IT Portfolio & Budget Management to join our growing team! In this role, you will report directly to our Chief Information Officer. You will oversee the strategic planning, execution and optimization of the IT portfolio, ensuring alignment with organizational goals while managing budgets effectively.
As a Director, IT Portfolio & Budget Management, your duties and responsibilities will include:
- IT Portfolio Management: Develop and implement strategies to align IT initiatives with business objectives, oversee project prioritization, and manage the overall IT portfolio to maximize efficiency and ROI
- Budget Management: Lead the development, monitoring, and management of IT budgets, ensuring accuracy, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with financial guidelines. Manage 3rd party contracts, negotiate terms, and optimize vendor relationships to drive value
- Leadership & Team Management: Provide strong leadership to the IT portfolio management team, fostering a culture of excellence, mentorship, and collaboration. Effectively delegate responsibilities and provide guidance for successful project execution.
- Financial Expertise: Utilize expertise in finance to analyze financial data, forecast spending, and identify opportunities for cost optimization and resource allocation
- Project and KPI Tracking: Implement robust systems for tracking project progress, KPIs, and performance metrics to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet defined objectives
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with key stakeholders across departments to understand their IT needs, communicate IT initiatives, and ensure alignment with business priorities
Qualifications
WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- 8+years of experience in IT portfolio management, budget management, and leadership roles within the IT industry
- Extensive experience in IT budget management, 3rd party contract negotiation, and delivery management
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial analysis, project tracking tools, and budget tracking software
- Exceptional leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and motivate teams to achieve objectives
- Strong analytical abilities with a focus on KPI tracking and performance measurement
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities in managing complex IT portfolios
- Proven track record in driving cost efficiencies while maintaining high-quality IT services
