As the Director of IT Security Operations, you will support our security operations organization in Fort Worth, Texas. You will report to the Chief Information Security Officer with your primary areas of focus on the Security Operations Center and Vulnerability/Threat management. In this role, a typical day will include:

• Leading a global team to provide proactive 24x7x365 monitoring and response of the technology environment to detect, analyze, track and mitigate external threats that could impact Alcon's information assets.
• Ensuring alignment of process, technology and organization in the Security operations area to Alcon cybersecurity strategy.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +18 yrs; Assoc.+14 yrs; M.S.+7 yrs; PhD+6 yrs)
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
• 10 Years of Relevant Experience
• 6 Years of Demonstrated Leadership

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 10+ years of experience in information technology security
• 5+ years of experience managing large scale teams in global environment and delivering infrastructure services across geographic and business boundaries
• CISSP Certification
• Healthcare, medical device or pharmaceutical industry experience

HOW YOU CAN THRIVE AT ALCON:

• Provide leadership and guidance to teams responsible for Security Operations Center and Vulnerability/Threat Management areas.
• Work closely with Security tools management team in order to optimize coverage and increase protective and detective capabilities of Alcon's security tools.
• Provide input and guidance to cybersecurity strategic architecture roadmaps for the organization focusing on core security operational needs aligned to business objectives. Provide input in evaluating security architectures and engineering designs to determine the adequacy and ensure alignment across security objectives. Provide input and guidance in the design, development and implementation security policy, standards and controls.
• Understand and anticipate regulatory and technical trends, competitive dynamics, company capabilities and customer demands, while understanding ongoing information security requirements resulting from the evolution of the company's products and services, as well as the regulatory, technical and risk environments.
• Educate business functional areas, product owners, engineering teams and Global Cybersecurity Risk and Compliance functions to inform and educate on cybersecurity risk.
• Drive operational effectiveness through automation, collaboration and focus on continuous improvement.
• Develop and measure performance objectives, define development plans and make individual compensation recommendations.
