Description
At Iterative Scopes, we are pioneering the application of powerful, proprietary artificial intelligence tools to the practice of gastroenterology and drug development. We've set out to drastically improve clinical decision-making while meaningfully improving patient lives through better diagnosis, disease management, and treatment, leading to better health outcomes.
As our Director of Life Sciences Partnerships, you will be responsible for business development and partnering activities, and will help oversee revenue growth strategies with existing and potential biopharma partners. Supporting operations as required and conducting product/market evaluations, you will continually update the company's assumptions as part of its evolving go-to-market strategy. You will be a business-minded strategic thinker who brings strong discipline to the company's priorities while being analytical and intellectually curious about the company's technologies. You will support our external business development and partnering activities alongside the VP of BD and communicate business objectives across company functions internally, collaborating with key stakeholders to achieve Iterative Scopes' objectives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Drive and inform business development activities consistent with Iterative Scope's overall strategy set by the Management Team.
  • Continually engage existing industry partners to ensure the success of current projects, as well as develop pathways to new areas of growth.
  • Responsible for an end-to-end pipeline of business development, including initiation (proposal writing and gathering), pitching (deck and narrative development), negotiation(with prospective procurement teams and closing),aligning business goals with the legal team, and signing off on business deals.
  • Ensuring compliance with corporate policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations, reaching out to the company's legal team for guidance where necessary.
  • Engage with the company's world-leading Scientific Advisory Board to develop market insights and garner support over the course of the pitch process.
  • Align with Evidence and Scientific Affairs on publication strategy.

Requirements & Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree is required, an advanced degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in business development, including having a track record of successful transactions with pharma/biotech/life science companies. Experience working in successful Bio+Tech companies is strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience selling to and partnering with pharma Clinical Development and Clinical Operations teams
  • Extensive experience in managing partnerships/service providers through execution.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills, and focused on building relationships with team members.
  • Strong analytical and modeling skills.
  • Strong ability to communicate with external parties and influence decision-making processes through relationship building.
  • Successful experience in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
