About the jobThis position will be a key contributor to our legal team’s corporate and securities practice, including matters relating to public company reporting and corporate governance, ESG, investor relations, and M&A transactions. Providing counsel and strategic guidance regarding disclosure requirements, 34 Act filings, proxy statements, and other matters related to SEC regulation will be central to the role. Success in this role will also require building strong relationships with and becoming a trusted advisor to our Finance team, including Investor Relations, Accounting, and Treasury

We’re looking for a stellar team member to join our Corporate team.
ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you’ll:
- Advise on and direct legal matters relating to Securities, ESG, investor relations and M&A transactions;
- Continue scaling our corporate processes and systems to keep pace with our company’s growth;Â
- Work closely with stakeholders in our Finance organization, including Investor Relations, Accounting and Treasury;
- Work cross-functionally across the business to ensure that risks are being managed intelligently; and
- Support work with our Board of Directors and its committees.

Required:
- Minimum 12 years of relevant legal experience and 5+ years in-house in technology or a technology-adjacent industry with fast-moving corporate legal teams;
- Corporate practice experience at a nationally recognized law firm;Â
- Deep familiarity and demonstrated experience with SEC reporting, corporate governance, ESG, investor relations, corporate transactional matters, and M&A, and with managing each of these areas through significant organizational growth or transition;
- High comfort level with a wide range of legal issues and subject matters;
- Proven ability to effectively influence, lead, and collaborate with others at all levels;
- High personal standards of excellence and ethics, as well as the ability to act with discretion, strict confidentiality, and sensitivity towards issues and individuals;Â
- Public-company experience, including familiarity with public-company board and governance matters; and
- Licensed and in good standing with a state bar. Â
This role will be remote, and based in the USA.
Approximately <10%Â travel is anticipated.Â

- The estimated pay range for this role, based in Colorado, is $193,760 - $242,200.
- Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan.
The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state. This role is also eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan and for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.
