What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, related field or relevant work experience required; MBA or advanced degree is a plus
  • 6 - 10 years of work experience in financial services (i.e. Consumer lending), big data, decision analytics or FinTech
  • Robust understanding of consumer lending products, market dynamics, and competitive landscapes
  • Comprehensive analytical skills to gather and interpret market data, customer insights, and financial metrics
  • Experience working with bureau data preferred but not required; experience in marketing or underwriting/risk/fraud is a plus
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional partners to cultivate strategic relationships with financial institutions, technology providers, FinTechs, and other relevant stakeholders
  • Proven track record in business development, consultative sales or management consulting
  • Demonstrated communication skills and success in positioning complex integrated solutions
  • Proven ability to grow revenue and market share by using a strategic approach
  • Knowledge of sales planning and marketing concepts
  • Ability to travel for conferences and client engagement

  • An understanding of and passion for FinTech businesses, consumer/personal loans, student lending, and retail investment platforms
  • Willingness and ability to undertake self-directed, independent work in pursuit of team goals
  • Success in working in matrix environments with cross-functional (i.e. product management, solutions, and/or marketing) teams to sell and deliver customer solutions
  • Success developing innovative solutions and structuring and solving business issues
  • An understanding of the "business question"- the ability to help develop a customer position, identify needs and how those needs relate to TransUnion's capabilities
  • Experience preparing and delivering sales presentations and trainings
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Impact You'll Make:
The Director of Market Development for Consumer Lending Financial Services will support the Consumer Lending sub-vertical's efforts to deliver on the three-year plan with a particular focus on in-year revenue targets. This includes identifying opportunities to position TransUnion's existing solutions to meet the ever-changing needs of our customers, and leading and supporting go-to-market activities.
The director will serve as an expert on the application and implementation of TransUnion solutions for personal loans, student loans, and investment management, and other products, and will engage with customers, partners and internal resources as necessary to meet the annual business goals and strategic objectives. The director will engage directly with the sales organization to ensure that consumer lending-related account planning aligns with the overall Consumer Lending strategy.
