We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Marketing Director to lead our marketing efforts at QuartzBio, an innovative SaaS product company. As the Marketing Director at QuartzBio, your expertise in B2B marketing, exceptional organizational and project management skills, and a data-driven approach will be instrumental in achieving our ambitious growth targets. We are looking for a very curious, agile, and proactive person, who loves to roll up their sleeves and can work effectively in a fast-changing environment. You'll be a key driver in enhancing our market presence and fostering a high-performing team. The role demands a unique blend of strategic thinking, creative vision, leadership prowess, and an operational, results-driven approach.
QuartzBio is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions provider to the life sciences industry. We deliver innovative, data enabling technologies (i.e., software) that provide biotech/pharma (R&D) teams with enterprise-level access to sample/biomarker data management and business intelligence tools. Our end-to-end (from sample collection to biomarker data) suite of solutions are focused on providing sponsors with information (data with context) – we do this by connecting biospecimen, assay, and clinical data sources in a secure and scalable cloud-based infrastructure, enabling seamless, automated data management workflows, key insight development, improved collaboration, and the ability to make faster, more informed decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning and Execution
- Work with leadership to develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies and tactics aligned with business goals.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and the delivery team to deeply understand customer segments, customer needs and QuartzBio's value propositions.
- Leads projects from inception to completion, ensuring efficiency and fostering team ownership.
- Lead tactical execution of established strategies to drive meaningful results within the business.
Management and Mentorship
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of marketing professionals, focusing on skill development and career growth.
- Champion change management initiatives within the team and across the organization, fostering a culture of adaptation and innovation.
- Set performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and facilitate career growth for team members.
Lead Generation and Market Research
- Plan and execute marketing campaigns, projects, and events that build brand awareness, educate our audience, generate engagement/interest and create new, qualified business opportunities.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging lead generation technologies to maintain a competitive edge in the market.

Team and Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with other marketing team members and the cross-functional teams to ensure a holistic, integrated plan is developed with specific, relevant metrics that can be tracked/shared.
- Identify, evaluate, and manage external vendors to support marketing initiatives as needed.
- Collaborate with the Customer Success and Product teams to implement changes that improve customer satisfaction and retention.
Analytics & Optimization
- Establish closed-loop analytics to understand how marketing activities develop prospects.
- Analyze marketing and sales data to make recommendations for strategies and campaigns.
- Evaluate new technologies and applications to optimize our marketing efforts and performance.
- Monitor and maintain data quality within the marketing database.
- Manage marketing budgets and measure ROI and KPIs to assess campaign effectiveness.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- 8-10 years of progressive experience in marketing roles, with 5+ years in a leadership or management position.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A proven track record of working independently, making informed decisions, and effectively organizing work to meet deadlines and objectives.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing effective marketing strategies.
- Proven track record of effectively leading and developing teams.
- Proficiency in marketing tools, analytics platforms, and content management systems.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to use data-driven insights to inform decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Possesses strong written and verbal communication abilities for effectively conveying complex concepts.
- Creative thinker and problem solver with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
Preferred: Experience within SaaS and/or life sciences industry
