Director, Marketing
Job Description
How you'll make an impact:The Director of Marketing is responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of all marketing strategies & communications, as well as public relations activities designed to capitalize on market opportunities and generate demand. You are the ideal candidate if you have extensive marketing experience and thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. This role reports to our Chief Growth Officer and will be empowered to:
- Develop and oversee the implementation of the marketing strategy that drives market awareness and efforts to drive lead generation.
- Drive messaging & competitive differentiation to ensure alignment of the sales and marketing teams on positioning
- Organize and develop campaigns, events, digital marketing, and PR to generate new opportunities both inside and outside the client base
- Manage and motivate a team responsible for executing the marketing efforts of our organization - writing, digital marketing, event oversight, product launch and general marketing responsibilities
- Partner with the sales team to identify gaps, opportunities, and improvements to Strata's sales enablement tools
- Steer editorial direction, design, production and distribution of all Strata publications and collateral that adhere to Strata's brand
- Work collaboratively with other functions and departments within our Growth team to drive market impact and business results
- Collaborate with leadership to set vision and prioritize initiatives for company marketing efforts
- Work closely with the client experience and product management teams to define marketing materials and programs
- Attend and/or participate in conventions, conferences, and tradeshows, preparing engaging displays and collateral as needed, and providing post-event reports and analysis
- Manage Strata's social media presence and direct programs to improve social media reputation and recognition
- Conduct general market research to keep abreast of trends and competitor's marketing movements
- Develop and manage the marketing budget and allocate resources amongst projects
- 10+ years in a marketing role; 5+ years of leadership experience with direct reports – A "player/coach" who innovates, executes, inspires and energizes those around them.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing a marketing process that continually adapts itself based on what clients' desire
- Proven campaign and lead generation experience with clear & established accountability metrics to assess effectiveness
- Thorough knowledge of SEO and web analytics (e.g., Google Analytics) and Google AdWords
- Deep understanding of Salesforce as well as marketing automation tools (ex: Pardot)
- Tradeshow and event planning experience
- Demonstrated successful experience writing press releases, making presentations, and negotiating with media
- Demonstrated experience in working with a sales team in support of a growth strategy
- Proven ability to plan and manage budgets
- Certified in, or experience working as part of, a Pragmatic Framework™
- Marketing experience in a technology-based, high growth model (Healthcare IT space a plus)
- Proficiency with HTML, content management systems, and design software
- An established portfolio of media and PR contacts
